RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 This outing by thielbar should get him a promotion to the starting rotation.
KirbyHawk75 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Well we suck again this year.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 The only that changes year to year on this team, is its calendar

Gingernsnap25 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Story hitting one past Correa is almost poetic
twins_89 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 One consolation is that Story isn't doing much at the plate either. Even if the Twins had signed him instead of Correa they wouldn't be in any better shape offensively.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Gonna go out on a limb and guess "92 down the middle on 1-0" wasn't the plan to Story.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Can’t blame the FO, they’re at least trying to make moves. Doesn’t help that Correa hasn’t done a single thing or that buxton and gray are already hurt (and kiriloff). Sano needs to go along with Kepler. People just aren’t performing.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Falvey, PUT TOGETHER A FRIGGIN' BULLPEN!
Guest Guests Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Well, I have to turn this game off or I’m going to bust a blood vessel ??
Gingernsnap25 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Over/Under 8.5 hits for Red Sox this inning?

Who do you blame for allowing Stashak to pitch for this team

Just because they make some moves, doesn't exonerate them. You can say that about the entire team.
PatPfund Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Maybe one warm up against low-A batters wasn't enough to show Stashak was ready for MLB? Gee, maybe we'll call up Thorpe next. Sure he gave up 8 runs in 1.2 innings yesterday, but he only pitched 1.2 so he should be fresh. (And hey, it makes some of the roster calls at the end of the month easier.)

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I'm starting to feel like the top of the 8th was a bad time to turn the game on. The good news is that after eating two meals' worth of Easter dinner I'm probably going to fall asleep before the Twins get the last out of the 8th.

Disagree, the FO should have known better to field this bullpen. I have less problems with the lineup when it comes to the FO, but Kepler and Sanó are issues. Maybe more of a failure in coaching.

Gingernsnap25 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Hey guys, the inning is over
twins_89 Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 The Twins relievers are getting hammered, 7 hits and 1 out in an inning where the Twins came in one run behind is not a promising sign for the bullpen.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 All right, top of the ninth. "In play, runs, runs and more friggin' runs" please.

True, but we also needed starters and lineup help. Every team in the league wants to have a better bullpen. Some guys are not performing, alcala is hurt.

Guys like Duffey and thielbar have to be better. Alcala being hurt doesn’t help. The irony is that Ober went 6 and we still couldn’t get good bullpen work

LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 I'm just going to pretend the Twins let the Sox win as a symbolic victory for the citizens of Ukraine and leave it at that.
