This is a gimme game.  Lynn has a 2.00 ERA and this lineup is, well, let's just say not the Twins best. 

Baldelli is putting the young guys out there to see what they can do.  I would not have made this decision in the rubber game of a series against the division leader, but hey, it is what it is.  It's a lost season anyway, but I would at least try to spoil the fun of the Sox as much as possible.

Ideally, they would be.  Injuries have forced their hand, unfortunately.

Yup. Though they maybe could have a different CF here....with Kepler in CF and someone else in RF. But that's clearly not the plan for some reason.

Do they even have another healthy outfielder on the 40 man?  Broxton isn't exactly pushing his way back into the big leagues either.  And I'd rather Celestino get the big league experience over Broxton anyway.

Heck, let Gordon play more CF and bring up another infielder.  Aside from Miranda, do they have any of those?  I don't know what Miranda's defense looks like either.

I did look it up.  Rooker is on the 40 man, but he's another bat first guy.  Astudillo is also on the 40 man.  Options aren't great, but they are there...

It would've been nice to see what LaMonte Wade Jr. or Akil Baddoo could've done in this lost season!

To be fair, he's talking about baseball players, and there's nothing that baseball players do that makes it easy to tell if they're right or left handed, like wear a glove on their off hand or something.

No doubt.  They should really put together a book or pamphlet that they can hand out or sell at the ballpark that tells you these things.  Maybe give the media a guide that has that sort of information.

Twins this season have some parts that are pretty good, but have a lot of parts that are pretty awful.  Pitching really blows as a whole and the offense is offensive.  Time to move some parts at trade deadline and reconfigure what you are quickly.  Bomba mentality they aren't and until they figure that part out, the losses will pile up. Fundamentally sound swinging the lumber as a group sucks big time.
