On this year's all-star team, 7 of the 22 hitters, and 7 of the 12 pitchers are on at least their second big league team. That's just under 42%. Interesting. But how many times have those 7 hitters all been from the same former team?
Dave The Dastardly Verified Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 The wife just pulled some fresh cinnamon bread from the oven. Gotta go. I hope the Twins will be up by 10 runs by the time I get back. You know, a safe bullpen lead...
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 It's the radio team's birthday today, both Danny and Cory. You could make a drinking game out of how many times they've said "birthday".

wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Was that boot as brutal as it sounded on the radio?

No idea. Probably a good thing the Twins cleaned house 4ish years ago in order to get rid of that issue, huh?

PDX Twin Verified Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Was it Dick Stuart who earned the nickname "Dr. Strangeglove." I haven't watched much this year, but today Larnach looks pretty clueless out there.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Larnach makes up for the spotty glovework.

wavedog Verified Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Making the big guy work at least this inning
Azviking101 Verified Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Sigh. Twins hitters seem more worried about taking a walk then getting a big hit. Can't believe Polanco and Gordon took those pitches. Does Gordon not realize Ben "Can't hit" Rorvedt is behind him?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 completely incapable of driving runners in from scoring position

wavedog Verified Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 The usual get runners in scoring position and then strikeout. Need to try a different plate approach - shorten the swing or in Gordon's case swing. Guessing he was thinking that ball was going to sink out of the zone but he might not have watched Polanco's at-bat.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 billy hamilton is a first ballot HOFer against the twins.
wavedog Verified Member Posted July 7, 2021 Posted July 7, 2021 Big and slow does not equate to great outfield defense
