insagt1 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 runner at 3rd one out. Is there any chance the Twins could actually score a run? Typically...a strikeout will follow. The rally killer of choice for the Twins, (prove me wrong. this time....I'd love it)
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 I'm ready for another shot for Jeffers.
insagt1 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Yep---the k. Is this team predictable or what!!! But then, but then...whats this? A homerun from light hitting Simmons? Did I see this
insagt1 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Break up the TWins....2 8th inning comebacks in a row.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Simmons with a wall scraper acting like he put it in the third deck.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Just now, stringer bell said: Simmons with a wall scraper acting like he put it in the third deck. to be fair, that is basically third deck for him
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Didn't someone call Donaldson a choker, earlier?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 That was a decent throw. Donaldson needed to catch it.
RickOShea Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Was our catcher using that one knee on ground set-up?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 And........probably a really hard pitch to block, but Mitch couldn't block it.

glunn Community Moderator Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 We need some quality at bats in the 9th.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 That inning again is not on the pitcher...that's now at least 3 runs that the defense has costed the bullpen. Remember that when you tear down the bullpen after this game
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Dick acted like Cruz hit that ball 450 feet.

Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Larnach starting to get comfortable and hit the ball hard. Fantastic.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 This team plays some pretty bad baseball. Errors, poor execution, out of position, illogical baserunning, bad pitch selection, too many K's. The list goes on and on. At least a portion of that falls on the manager.
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 and we will cya tommorow night - hopefully!!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 2 of the worst losses on the season against the A's, starting with the high scoring extra innings affair, and then today. Twins were in absolute control of the ball game, and then the young stud defensive catcher makes a play a middle school catcher would get pulled for. Absolutely and utterly inexcusable, and anyone who defends it or blames it on Andrus for "flopping" needs to get a reality check. It's not about the flop, but that your catcher looks lost under pressure. Get Jeffers up now and don't look back. And then Donaldson drops a tailor made double play in what would've been a no run inning. The at bats were fine, but Kenta and the defense were atrocious today. Another clear example of TSF 2.0.
