USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 What am i missing?Gilligan's Island.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 life, you’re watching the TwinsNot this time alas. Which is how come i asked the question.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I don't think anybody expected it to be the start of a rebuild this season, but looks like the Twins are headed that way.
glunn Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 At least it's becoming unlikely that the Twins will get swept in the offseason.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Not this time alas. Which is how come i asked the question.so my reply is also you’re answer
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Gilligan's Island. That's a pretty good tv show. Skipper throws a mean slider.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 At least it's becoming unlikely that the Twins will get swept in the offseason.maybe they could deal Sano for some relief pitching
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 maybe they could deal Sano for some relief pitchingWho would have him for anybody worth anything?
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Talent evaluation is looking pretty questionable for the front office, along about now.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 so my reply is also you’re answerI better quit while i'm ahead, right.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I'm obviously surprised and disappointed at the offensive ineptitude. I'm very disappointed in the defense, although Donaldson, Buxton and Simmons missing time hasn't helped. Moreso, though, the defense has been awful most every day, physically and mentally. But the bullpen has performed just about as I had expected. Not deep, not powerful, not dependable. Spare parts, reclamation projects, "slider specialists" That, IMO, was always going to be a problem.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Monday's STrib headline: "Twins President St Peter asks Gov Walz to adjust max Target Field seating...to 5000."
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Damn. Almost took care of Cave and Astudillo problems right there....... but no.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 yeah, I don’t think any team has an offense that could overcome a bullpen this bad 2019 Twins did a pretty good job of doing it
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 I better quit while i'm ahead, right.Finished with my ballclub cause they couldn’t find a way to win. People think I’m insane because I am frowning all the time

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 2019 Twins did a pretty good job of doing itIt only took a record setting performance to get swept in the alds
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Twins pitching is expert at letting inherited runners score. Give them some runners, and the next guy will punish your stat line.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 2019 Twins did a pretty good job of doing itreally? Not in October
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Do you think that the loss of the batting coach has been a big factor?I don't know. It's certainly a Plausible and interesting theory.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Are Dick and Justin still going with “the lack of on field batting practice” as the reason for this travesty of an offense?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Garver. Sigh.Has the sauce passed its expiration date?
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Are Dick and Justin still going with “the lack of on field batting practice” as the reason for this travesty of an offense?Dick and Roy. But yeah, Dick's mentioned that a time or three today. "Not in rhythm."
AceWrigley Verified Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Side note: KC ( 13-7) took down the Tigers (7-15) today 4-0. Together they totaled 14 hits and 4 walks, no big deal, but it took 319 pitches to complete the 9- inning game. Wow.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 Cave got a break when he should have been rung up and still Ks
