I hate this bullpen.

 

Have since before the season started. Nothing has changed my mind.

 

But this really is on Rocco for letting Shoemaker pitch to too many hitters in the 6th.

Glad to see Colome has waited until now for all his 2020 regression to come sweeping in. No wonder why he was so cheap!

This is where Baldelli for all his supposed progressiveness is really dumb... do the Twins really not know the statistics about relievers pitching back-to-back days? A few years ago there was an article here about it showing how drastically performance of relievers declines when they pitch back-to-back days. I can’t imagine the Twins don’t know those numbers. So why do you bring Colome out again today? It doesn’t make sense.

Twins had an opportunity to go get a closer with some gas. Or re-sign May. Or just go with Rogers again and hope his 2020 was a blip.

 

Instead they go out and get a softball pitcher. Unbelievable. Terrible player, terrible signing. And Stashak needs to be demoted yesterday. All these pollyanna Twins fans "not worried about the bullpen" aren't watching the games. Awful.

Add the 3 runs in his ERA from the first game that he was gifted as unearned because of his bonehead play and error........and he is sooooooooo bad.
