Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I love the Twins, but it really hard to watch them lately, even when they win. Cleveland won something like 20 games in a row over 2 years against the Tigers, but they play us like they’re in ‘27 Yankees or something. As do the royals
twinssporto Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Author Posted September 6, 2020 Tigers throwing a no hitter through 3 innings isn't as great as it seems against this lineup. The Tigers could probably throw their pitching coach into the mix and get the same result. I think the average of today's Rocco constructed lineup is averaging .210 or so. Ugly.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 There we go. Dont stop now, boys.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Tie game! Glad Adrianza was able to clear the speck from his eye there...

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Back to back world class at bats there
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Took 1 pitch for Hill to be back in trouble.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 “We’re sorry, the number you dialed is not available”I suppose that is better than "Your call is important to us. Please stay on the line and our underpaid and overworked staff will answer your calls in the order we receive them. ... Elevator music ...
jun Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Tigers pitching coach really knows about Twins hitters.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Why an 0-2 fastball in the zone?
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 The hard contact Tigers hitters are getting off Hill is scary. Even if it's foul.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Tigers pitching coach really knows about Twins hitters.I never thought much of Rick Anderson’s approach to pitching. If it wasn’t for Gardenhire he wouldn’t work in the majors.

Shaitan Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Is this Cruz's first game off this year?
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Good job of damage control by Hill. I would be very careful next inning as he will get into the third time around for the Tigers lineup
Sielk Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Is this Cruz's first game off this year? His second, I think. Yesterday or so they said on the broadcast that he had played in 39 of 40 games.
Shaitan Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I'm kind of fascinated at Rocco's use the #6 spot as the weak one in the lineup. Not fascinated enough to research why, but I def see a pattern.
Shaitan Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 His second, I think. Yesterday or so they said on the broadcast that he had played in 39 of 40 games.Love it. While I don't love the universal DH, it's a huge benefit for the Twins. (Still surprised he didn't play a single OF inning last year in interleague.) And it likely means his wrist is 100% this year.
blindeke Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Yeah, the lineup worries me. I'd rather Rocco start a more normal lineup and get those other guys some PT in games we are blowing people out in, or in games the twins are getting blown out in. Or start one dude here and there but to put all those guys in on the same day seems like too much. Hopefully they can beat up on mize today Getting everyone healthy for the post-season is more important than winning an extra game or two. Heck, we could get the #4 seed and have to play the Yankees.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 I wouldn't let Hill face Schoop and Cabrera.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Heh. Who had 1-9-5 put out on their Twingo card? Yeah, me either. Helluva throw, and nice tag too.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 That is one way to pick off a runner.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 We coulda stranded another runner at 3rd. But no need to rub it in, eh?
Diesel Verified Member Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Always a bad idea to get out on the basepaths
