70charger Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Dobnak dealing. Like 70 pitches, and he's not slowing down. Why not keep putting him out there?
Danchat Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 At this rate, Dobnak should be able to go 7 innings, which I believe will be a first for a starter this year.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Not sure I can stay but checking in. Watching, but not every AB, is Williams really throwing that well? Or are we just having bad AB's? Some of his pitches have looked pretty good.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 And I wonder if Dobnak doesn't deserve the 7th inning
Diesel Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 How far is Dobnak going to be stretched?
70charger Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Hey! One finally fell in for Arraez!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Couldn't keep Arraez hitless forever!
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Very Carew hit, there. Now steal third and home!!

Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Stallings is also very, very good behind the plate.
Danchat Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Looks like Stashak is getting the 7th, even though Dobnak has plenty more in the tank, from what I can tell...
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Really think Dobbie should start the 7th. Can help rest the pen a bit too.
PDX Twin Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Williams has been very, very good. We're making a lot of pitchers look very good these days. I wonder if the Pittsburgh gun is slow. It's saying about 91-92 on the FB, but it seems to get on the hitters really fast. Sneaky fast? Or maybe a few ticks faster than the gun?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Modern baseball stinks. Dobnak should be in there still
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Shoot! Great pen, but I would have gone 1 more for Dobnak. Throwing great, good pitch count, rest at least one more arm.
shortround81 Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Morneau with the Astros shade!
Diesel Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 i like stashak, but Dobnak deserved another inning out there
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 SLEESTAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Now to heat up the bats and get a couple insurance runs
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 SLEESTAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I think he's a keeper
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 I agree that Dobnak should have been sent out for the 7th. But Stashak definitely helped quell any potential anger with Rocco’s decision.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Duffey/Rogers shutdown?Yes, please.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 I agree that Dobnak should have been sent out for the 7th. But Stashak definitely helped quell any potential anger with Rocco’s decision.Agreed. But I expected Stashak to do that. NOT arguing with Rocco as I get it. But our depth has diminished somewhat with IL stunts. Could have another bullpen game in the next few days, potentially. Just like the idea of saving another arm from pitching tonight. Small quibble I know! Lol
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Agree with Morneau. HP ump has been excellent.
