Looking at the free agent list on MLB Trade Rumors:

I noticed some familiar names so I thought I would start a new game called “Wait, (fill in the blank) is still available!?!”

 

Here is how we play. Name a free agent that has some recognition in Twins Territory using the given phrase. The next person to comment has to share a memory of the player or a comment about their potential usefulness as a Twins FreeAgent signing. (Sarcasm, tongue in cheek, and ridiculousness welcomed) After 1-2 more comments, someone may start the next round. This thread is meant to be light and humorous, only tongue in cheek sarcastic arguments allowed.

 

As always with games I make up myself with my own rules, I will go first!

 

Wait, Anthony Swarzak is still available!?!

Whoops, I put this in the minor league forum? Meant it to be in the MLB side but since some of these would be MiLB signings with an invite to ST and probably opt outs, I guess this works...

 

Since Swarzak didn’t work and this seemed like it could be fun to me, I will give it one more try...

 

Wait, Brian Dozier is still available!?!

Yeah, bring him back, but only if his mom promises to be as excited this time as she was for his FIRST debut. She was infectious, more interesting to watch than her son. Would have fit right in as a front row fan at a KISS concert.

 

 

And wait, is Yangervis Solarte still available!?!

There are several pitchers I like on this list. Is Felix through? Can Chacin return to the form of a couple of years ago? Is Harvey worth a risk? I like Hellickson or Marco Estrada for the back end and Ryu or Hill for a lefty. And why not sign Betances? But we'll probably sign Homer Bailey if he is still available. He just doesn't excite me.

Well except for bird, tossing out Solarte, ain’t no one have a memory of him. He was a minor leaguer here so long ago he played at both New Britain AND Beloit. Remember when the Twins Low A club played in one of the most run down stadiums in the country?

 

I see that Chris Herman is up for grabs though.
