Finally the Twins have pulled off a trade. Sad part they had to give up cash to acquire him.

Yup, it is a minor league deal. He was signed by Boston on a minor league deal last winter and has yet to be added to a 40-man roster this year.

I realize it's different posters posting at different times, but... we trade a player away for cash considerations, and people ask why we didn't get a lottery-ticket prospect instead, while when we acquire someone for nothing but money it's evidence of cheapitude or something.

 

I wonder whether Yankees Daily is giving the front office any snark about their acquisition of catcher Brian Navaretto for cash considerations?
