David HK Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Ahhhhh, crap. I just tuned in, and the bases are loaded.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Adrianza with the 9 pitch walk. Is that your count hard at work?
amjgt Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 What an AB. Adrianza making a case for more playing timeI went to the Angels day game in May and he was hitting like .140 to start the game. Got a couple hits that game and has never looked back.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 This would be a good spot to get a big hit
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Gibson didn’t take long to remind me that I’m really tired and don’t need to watch baseball tonight. No worries— this game will still be going when you wake up tomorrow morning.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 What an AB. Adrianza making a case for more playing timeOnly 29 PAs, but a .967 OPS over his last month.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 That Castro AB was the exact opposite of Adrianza’s
amjgt Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 This bases loaded stuff is getting silly
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 C'mon Castro, we need a better AB than that. That was weak.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Remember when people wanted to see Adrianza DFA'd
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 RBI are, were, and always will be the simplest measure of effectiveness.
LVTwinsfan Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 math? That sounds hard...math are hard
mrtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Pitcher just walks 2 - and of course zero patience AGAIN
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Bases Loaded Safety Squeeze??I like the way you think! I was thinking hit and run at the end of the Oakland game myself. Remind me what safety means in this context?
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Hitting with bases loaded is getting laughable at this point
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 Remember when people wanted to see Adrianza DFA'dGuilty (hope it doesn't reach midnight for him the rest of the year)
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 That inning will come back to haunt. Bases loaded with 1 out, get zero runs out of it.
LA_NorthStar Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 It's like Castro and Kepler didn't just watch German go the entire inning without throwing his fastball for a strike.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 I don't expect a big hit every time the bases are loaded but there's only so many times you can come up virtually empty in these situations. These guys are better than that.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 math are hardWhere are the Hardy boys when ya need them?
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 2-1 after 2. Circus Boy and Zeno would be proud.
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 I like the way you think!I was thinking hit and run at the end of the Oakland game myself.Remind me what safety means in this context? Thanks for asking... In this context "safety" was meant to avoid a double play which would have prompted TD posters to spend 3 pages on the dour state of Twins hitters with the bases juiced In reality it would have safely kept us from having to watch that Castro AB
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 A little early to be thinking about "Playoff Push Plans" there Twins
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 I don't expect a big hit every time the bases are loaded but......... but When I do
MVP Nick Punto Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 This is still a very winnable game. German might've used up his weekly allocation of luck to get out of that inning. I hope our boys take to heart the old adage "patience is a virtue"
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 There's been some nice multi out plays in this series so far.
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 24, 2019 Posted July 24, 2019 EE walks up to the plate and looks like "I'm gonna stand here until he throws me a strike" Ok I'll walk to first
