Game Thread Mets @ Twins 12:10 PM 7/17/19

Sano' K% is about 40%!!! I check and I don't know who can succeed at this very high rate.

He won't but he's in the process of changing his swing.  One positive is that he isn't chasing as many balls outside the zone as he is waiting a bit longer due to a shortened swing.  Even Tiger Woods had to change his swing.

Damn acorns.

Just wait for the oaks...

[MNT1996]

After today’s loss would be a good time for the manager to call out his team’s heart.

Rocco just doesn't seem like the type of manager to do this. He seems like very much a millennial manager. Coddling the players, telling them everything will be alright. I wish he showed a little more heart and emotion like Gardy.

[gocgo]

Trevor May and his curve ball...when the other team is loving it, he should not.

[SpicyGarvSauce]

Why the hell was Perez pulled at 83 pitches?

[Darius]

May is killing this team lately. I get that stuff is there, but he just never seems to get over the hump. Get him out of any sort of high-leverage role ASAP.

[Aggies7]

OMG goodnight irene

[operation mindcrime]

Nice catch Rosie!

[yarnivek1972]

Why not trade Sano for pitching help? He is not good on the both sides of the ball.

So, then why is another team going to trade good pitching for him?

[Aggies7]

What a cluster of you know what this team is right now

[gocgo]

OMG!  Now it's time for a team talk.

[bighat]

OH MY GOD ROSARIO.

[MNT1996]

This team won't make the playoffs

[rickybeathard]

Wow, had to laugh at that. I'm officially annoyed.

[mrtwinsfan]

I want the real Rosario Back,  w.t.f. eddie

[gocgo]

We are playing like the Mets normally do and they are playing like us.

Goo Goo?

[Aggies7]

Wow, had to laugh at that. I'm officially annoyed.

Yeah this is a real hoot to watch.

[Vanimal46]

That's all we can do at this point. Jesus.

How to quickly diminish your home attendance 101

[LVTwinsfan]

The Twins will drop out of first place by the end of this homestand

[Aggies7]

7 against Oakland and NYY coming right up. EL OH EL

[bighat]

Silver lining? Maybe a complete meltdown like this is what the Twins need to get their crap together.

Indians fans must be just loving this.

[Aggies7]

Cory and dan talking about how the defense has been solid all season until these last two games

Wha?

[MNT1996]

STOP THROWING THIS GUY CURVEBALLS ARE YOU KIDDING. I'm pissed. what the hell is that pitch selection

[rickybeathard]

This is like a vintage 2018 game where you put Austudillo in at the mound just for some light entertainment.

[Aggies7]

BOOOOOOOOOO YOU BUMS

[BattleYourTailOff]

Garv Sauce is mike piazza at the plate and hovering around Astudillo behind it.

I think a complete meltdown is also what I need so I can stop caring about this team making the playoffs
