So, that dumb pitch to Santana notwithstanding, May and Rogers look like a solid late inning combo. Littell looks like a solid back of the pen guy. Parker had a brutal stretch from late May to mid June but has otherwise been decent. Harper has been good most of the time. So, I think what the Twins need are two guys to slot in between the level of May and Harper.

Come on. The win was right there, all they had to do was put the ball in play somewhere.

 

A rested Hand facing Cave, Schoop, and Kepler is curtains.

 

The sweep would’ve been great (and probably should’ve happened), but it’s hard to be upset about the series as a whole.

I think the only solid reliever they have is Rogers , the rest can implode at any time

taking 2/3 head to head with the second place team will win the division. but always some concern with recent trends. hopefully it's the injuries but when the offense isn't coming through in big opportunities, the pitching staff is not close to good enough to consistently win tight games.can't keep getting only 5 innings from the starters. can't keep using rogers for multiple innings/back to back etc.

Well, that’s going to be true of anyone available. Mariano Rivera retired. The question is there anyone out there better. I’m not sure there is.

Twins won’t go far with this bullpen, especially if their top three starters pitch a combined 14 innings in a three game series

This times a million. I know it's 2019 and starters aren't expected to ever get more than 15 outs. but that only works if you have a bullpen.

Honestly I've seen enough of Schoop already. Milwaukee benched him last year after trading for him.

 

Once Cron comes back I hope they bench this guy and let Arraez play 2b full time.
