Brutal night so far.  it happens.  would have liked to see some more clutch hitting in what is the biggest game/series of the year so far, but what can you do?

I know that’s a good at bat by Garver there against a tough pitcher....but come on, that was down Broadway.

 

Whatever the opposite of clutch is, we were that the last two half-innings at the plate.

he actually had three pitches thigh high on the inner half, right in the womp em zone.

Seriously, this ump gives away strikes that are outside to Cleveland calls a ball that's clearly in the zone a a ball

We could, but it wouldn't be very hard to take first place back... the way people talk about it, it seems like once the Indians catch us, it's over. Yes, it would be massively disappointing, but it's not like the season would be over.

Y'know, with May and Littell improving lately, it suddenly seems like the Twins don't need relievers as badly as we thought they do. So... is it time to start wondering if we need to trade for hitting?

 

It's just a thought. I still want them to get a Smith/Giles and a starter.

Eh, I don't think so. 

 

I want pitchers, but I'm starting to get concerned we're going to go out there and get Cashner, Ian Kennedy, and then say "we tried".

Really good AB for Buxton there I thought. Left a couple of balls outside then drove one to the opposite field (just got underneath it s hair).

 

Shows he maturing as a hitter.

RBI are the single most important stat in determining wins and losses. I dont care what the nerds say.

They've never said otherwise. Not even close.
