It really isn’t. The way I see it is you can only take care of the things you can control. Man has absolutely no control over climate change like the Twins have no control over all star selections.

The "It's Time to Trust Tyler Duffey" article didn't age well.

 

That said, bad days happen. Unfortunately for the Twins, if they don't rally today they're looking at losing 3 out of 4 with a monster list of opponents coming up:

 

At Oakland

Vs. Texas

At Cleveland

Vs Mets

Vs. Oakland

Vs. Yankees

 

Yikes. The Mets are the worst opponent, but that series is only a 2-gamer.

Well, he's looked a lot better than he was the past two seasons with the improved fastball. One bad outing does not make a bad reliever, but he doesn't have a track record to back up his recent accomplishments.

I had to look it up. While Palka has only about 50 plate appearances, the lowest batting average ever with at least 100 plate appearances occurred in 1883 when a guy with a normal-ish name hit .120.

 

A guy with an odder NAME is ranked 6th. In 1917, Pickles Dillhoerfer hit .144.

maybe I don’t know. I do know that Bremers job is to do the game. As far as I m concerned the allstar game is a useless sideshow, And obviously you have an issue with my opinion so I’m guessing this isn’t over

What the track record is, unfortunately, is inconsistency. Some games, he just doesn't bring his good stuff to the mound. I'm sure it's a mystery to his coaches - it's got to be a mystery to him too. It has to be frustrating to stand there on the mound in that situation, seemingly like one of those bad dreams where you are naked in public. Still, in terms of trust for the player, it is what it is. He's a long way from earning it.
