So, say they start at 6:30. Figure another 1 1/2 to 2 hours. So, maybe they are on the plane at 11. 3 hour flight. Even with the time change they get to their hotel by 1 or so. Keep in mind most of them were at the ballpark by 9 or 10 this morning. This game should have been called an hour ago. Are there even 50 people in the stadium?

Twins have the best offense in MLB and they only get 1 position player all star? What a joke. I have no respect for whoever picked the reserves.

 

Would be nice to get the recognition but I'm not going to mind some of these guys getting almost a week of rest.  This is where the 'every team gets a player' rule can skew the quality of participants.  The Chisux get 2 position players?  Questionable.

Several candidates, but no locks. Sox get both McCann and Abreu, perhaps Cron there? I thought Kepler had a good chance too, but Betts, Meadows and Gallo are all good choices.

Also Berrios got snubbed. Only 2 All Stars for a team with the 3rd best record in all of baseball. That's ridiculous but as someone else pointed out, at least we get the rest and maybe this will piss off the team and they tear through the whole league

It really isn’t. The way I see it is you can only take care of the things you can control. Man has absolutely no control over climate change like the Twins have no control over all star selections.
