ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Sano will go yard here. Change my mind.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Perez needs to be traded now, if not by the end of the season his ERA is going to be around 6.I've never understood the Twins fan rationale of "this player sucks, trade him now!" If the player is playing poorly you're not going to get a good return on him, which to me defeats the purpose of a trade.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 So these two vampire bats are hanging upside down in their cave, and they're really hungry. But it's daytime, not the time to be out hunting. "The heck with it," one says. "I'm going out looking for some blood." "You can't go out now," says the other. "It's broad daylight. You'll never find any blood." "Well, maybe not, but I'm going to try anyway," says the first, and out he goes. Not long after, he returns, and wouldn't you know it, his face is smeared with blood. "Hey," says the second bat. "What happened??" "You see that big tree out there?" says the first. "Yeah, I see it," says bat number 2. "Well I didn't."
IndyTwinsFan Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 We're up by 9 now. Ill take the overI hope you're right on that!!
Darius Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 We’re talking about, arguably, the worst, most punchless offense in Major League Baseball. Perez allows 6 runs in 5 innings. Cleveland is about to win again, dropping the lead to 8. We have, what, a dozen or more games remaining with Cleveland....and they look like the better team at this point in time. This is starting to get serious. We are going to give this thing away, aren’t we?
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Cave since his call-up: 0 for 15, 8 Ks, 2 HBPs, 0 BBs. Yikes!

Clevinger is hurt again, Kluber's out, most of their lineup is still mediocre... and Trevor Bauer just threw a 4 inning 5 run "gem" against the lowly Tigers. Brad Hand is currently giving up a run in the 9th as well.

We are going to give this thing away, aren’t we?Depends on when and how Falvine responds to our clear pitching problems. I think the bats will eventually come back. One thing is quite clear to me and that is that the Rochester Express for pitching is, at best, a small bandaid affixed on a rather sizable problem.

MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 CRUZ! That's what we need to turn this slump around!
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 I wish more players had the approach that Cruz and Garver and Polanco have -- compact swings, hit the ball where it's pitched.* *Are you reading this Sano?

mbaker Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Assuming still behind - will they pinch hit for the K's when they get down to their spots?
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 I've been a big defender of Sano, but if he continues to struggle we might need to send him down to AAA and trade for a 3rd baseman
Blake Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Instead of supporting the Tigers, in an effort to support the Twins on your wife's birthday. You should take her out to dinner at Coon Rapids Chrysler. They got a great popcorn machine in the lobby with free coffee. Nah, a bit too hifalutin for us hayseeds.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Hey, support the Twins' sponsors. Pizza Ranch for the win!Yeah, I'd as soon hit Golden Corral and the Chocolate Waterfall. ®

Gonzalez, Adrianza, and Astudillo can man third if need be. They got by just fine for the first month and a half without Sano.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 I've been a big defender of Sano, but if he continues to struggle we might need to send him down to AAA and trade for a 3rd basemanSome will say that Sano could be sent down and Gonzalez can play third, and that would okay, but not ideal. Gonzalez is a subpar hitter and I don't see that changing.

ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 They'll never call him "Rock Steady Eddie," I don't think, as he itches to steal.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 Cave needs to be sent down. 0 for 15 with 8 Ks since his recall. Let’s see if Wade can do anything. Cave cannot.
