DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 So I came in just in time to see some nasty stuff and a quick inning? You are mkre than welcome. (I bow humbly)
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Pineda's uniform doesn't have a tilde over the "n."Baseball Reference says his names is pronounced without it.Why all of a sudden has Dick Bremer, Master of World Cultures, become to say Piñeda?
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 You are correct, Doctor. Big 4th inning for our heroes. Pineda gave up 3 solo shots.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Here is a funny review of today's Indians/Orioles fiasco from a pretty funny guy. I actually was watching that game live. I've always believed that you beat any major league team, it's a win, and all wins are to be valued and treasured. I've never bought into "well, it's just Miami, or Baltimore, or insertteamthat'sbadthisyearhere, so it doesn't mean anything." All big league teams are tough to beat, and the margins are incredibly thin in MLB. But watching Baltimore...yeah, that's not a MLB team. The pitching is so incredibly bad, it's almost fun to watch.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Send Vogleback to where he came from. hahahahahahahahahahaha. I kill me.I like looking up translations. Vogelbach means "Bird Creek." Kind of pretty, I bet.
operation mindcrime Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 First year back from surgery. Always felt he'd round in to form but would take a while. Any fellow believers?Like the X-Files I want to believe!!!
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 You are correct, Doctor. Big 4th inning for our heroes. Pineda gave up 3 solo shots. HATE THAT! B.S.! Buuuut....if you only do that in 6+....hard to be angry. I mean, it will catch up to you, but at the same time, hard to be angry. Still thinking a couple more games we might see a "normal" career Pineda. If our biggest worry, in the rotation, is Pineda rounding in to form, Twins life looks pretty good, right?
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Sano doesn't look any lighter than last year, does he?
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Sano looked like he didn’t miss a beat in that last at bat!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Sano doesn't look any lighter than last year, does he?I was thinking the opposite. He looks lighter to me.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Gotta give Sano a couple games to adjust

I'd say that makes him more than qualified to teach us all a thing or two about the Spanish language.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Alright ladies and germs, bring this one home. Off to bed. I expect chicken for breakfast.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Gotta give Sano a couple games to adjustYa think? (Tongue in cheek sarcasm to whoever, not you)
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Good one.But did you know that Staples is the only town (so far as I know) that has sold the rights to its name?I think Facebook, Arkansas did as well.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Pineda has had some problems with solo HRs recently, but outside of that he's been solid. He seems to have command over his pitches, with zero walks thus far (and I think he had 0 in his last start?). I'd keep throwing him out there and see if he improves.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I think Facebook, Arkansas did as well. Not just the name of the town, every last ounce of resident information as well.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Very good outing. Exactly what we needed after this past series. Should have a shot to get Austin Adams in the game too.
MNT1996 Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Great outing from Pineda. Only 5 hits, no walks, and 7 innings. Gotta work on keeping the ball in the ball park though
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Good one.But did you know that Staples is the only town (so far as I know) that has sold the rights to its name?Ever heard of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico? Yeah, it’s a thing.
DocBauer Old-Timey Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Personal reflection and memory: Always HATED the West coast swings because the internet and streaming didn't exist through the 80's, 90's and early 2000's. I used to play with antennas on radios and hide in my car listening through static on 57.0 WNAX Yankton to pick apart what I could. This is like Magic!
Blake Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Author Posted May 17, 2019 Another step forward for Mr. Pineda? Great to see him go 7.
DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 7 innings, nice outing to build off of.
ScrapTheNickname Provisional Member Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Ever heard of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico? Yeah, it’s a thing.Yup, used to be called Hot Springs. Wish they'd change their name back (but that's just me).
