yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Tyler Austin with a HR in his second AB this evening in Rochester. I'd say that's a good sign.Every at bat Logan Morrison gets is a complete and utter waste.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Every at bat Logan Morrison gets is a complete and utter waste.I'd put Wilson in that category too.
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Van, first time caller, long time listener. With this being a lost season, will the Twins set up a promotional night where Rosario plays every position for one inning?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 I believe one team is basically saying "pay for 10 games, keep coming until we win 10 times" or something like that.....should the Twins try that?
OTPS300 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 So, Buxton re injured his wrist. Will he ever make it back?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Romero so far this evening at Rochester: 5 IP 2 H 1 R/ER 0 W 3 K
Richie the Rally Goat Community Moderator Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Um Hi! Errrr sorry the lines were jammed to get thru, I was on hold for a while...... I have a question.... I love the show! That’s all...
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 That ball got out to left center way quick. Good sign, but let's see more before optimism starts to flow.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 I'd put Wilson in that category too.The difference is that there aren’t any catchers in the top levels of the minors that need to be evaluated for potentially being a regular next year. There are 2-3 1b/dh types in AAA that should be evaluated: Austin, Wade and maybe Vargas.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 wow. you can watch on gameday and then click a different game and see a former twin on just about every one! lol

Today isn't a day game after a night game, so there isn't any reason that I can see for Wilson getting the starting nod.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Please tell me they didn't sacrifice bunt in the second inning.....please.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Please tell me they didn't sacrifice bunt in the second inning.....please.Ok, I won't tell you then.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Please tell me they didn't sacrifice bunt in the second inning.....please.It's not as if he had Rosario, Mauer, Sano bunt. GIbson appears to be on again. Why not work to give him a lead?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 It's not as if he had Rosario, Mauer, Sano bunt. GIbson appears to be on again. Why not work to give him a lead? Why not swing away and build a lead greater than one? It's the second inning!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 adrianza pays dividends already.
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Why not swing away and build a lead greater than one? It's the second inning! It was also Adrianza.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Please tell me they didn't sacrifice bunt in the second inning.....please.Cleveland just did the same thing!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Please tell me they didn't sacrifice bunt in the second inning.....please.To be fair, while I'm sure he'll be credited with a sac, it looked to me to be more of a bunt for a hit, with the secondary benefit of moving the runner if he's out.
S. Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Had the volume low and wasn't paying attention - did we seriously just challenge that play at first?
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 It was also Adrianza. And? If Gibson was hitting, okay I could understand.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Had the volume low and wasn't paying attention - did we seriously just challenge that play at first? he thought he was watching the play at second from last night....easy mistake.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 he thought he was watching the play at second from last night....easy mistake.Yeah they said there's some sort of time lag issue with the dugout replay setup...
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Can I say **** on here? Well, I’m going to because ****, my vertigo has returned. Dizzy, nauseous motion sickness while being absolutely still is so much ****ing fun. **** no.We oldsters remember a great Seinfeld episode regarding **** **** ****.
S. Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Yeah they said there's some sort of time lag issue with the dugout replay setup...Good to know they have their finest IT people working on it and in 24 hours they've been unable to sync a monitor to their replay system.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 Vanimal - when are they going to put you in the booth with Bert. They have a lot of people rotate in and out of there as fill-ins and I am sure it is only a matter of time for you to show off your expertise to the Fox North audience. I am assuming they were going to save your for play-off games, but since that is no longer looking like a sure-thing, will you make your TV debut in August (and then hopefully again in the play-offs if we do make the cut)?
VATwinsFan Verified Member Posted August 1, 2018 Posted August 1, 2018 And?If Gibson was hitting, okay I could understand. And he got the runner to 3d so he could score on a sac fly.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS Houston went 3-for-4. He's hitting .333/.415/.505 (.920) since joining the Kernels. He added his fifth and sixth doubles. Explore Marek Houston News >
