LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 If Lynn can just keep putting up zeros, we can't lose. Some light reading for anyone enjoying the thought of a Lynn scoreless streak...
Blake Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Crud, just noticed I was still logged in to my computer at work. *click* It's now officially the weekend.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Joe West might be the best ball and strike ump in the game.
Blake Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 I wonder if the FO did a little reverse ninja psychology on the team? Last year, they traded away a guy, pitcher, and the team seemed to get a little PO'd and took off. Maybe that's the FO's super double secret probationary plan?
S. Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Initially, I really carped about Mr. Smalley, but, I admit, the man has grown on me.I think most anyone would agree Smalley has some good stuff to say, the problem is he doesn't know how to say it in a concise and timely manner. He would really benefit from getting some public speaking lessons or something because he is very prone to repeating himself numerous times and getting sidetracked and turning his 2 minute story into a 2 inning monologue.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Joe West might be the best ball and strike ump in the game. Yup, ever since Skynet replaced him with a T1000.... http://www.electricferret.com/static/images/cbub/cbub_contender_image/5/1203/1203.jpg
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 The janitor where I work is such a jokester. Today as I was walking down the hall he jumped out of the storage closet and yelled "SUPPLIES!!!!"
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 They close off Yawkey Street during the game, and once you're through the turnstile you can enjoy street vendors at ballpark prices. Still have my Big Papi and Free Tom Brady bumper stickers from great Fenway visit!
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Ouch. That's gotta f'ing hurt. Was he able to just shake it off? Online representation of the hbp has it at 97mph and close to headhunting territory of he was crowding the plate... Hope Kepler is okay... Wouldn't mind seeing Grossman come through here too, but that would only matter for this game.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Slider coming for Cave: think he can hit it?

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Already a pretty decent PA from Cave no matter what.edit:that didn't age well.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Making Sale throw over 70 pitches before he completes four is at bare minimum a moral victory.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 All in all, good inning for the Twins to almost get something out of nothing... Sale's pitch count is up there
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Good at bats that inning. Just nothing to show for it
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Reverie is also a town on the North Shore, not far from Lynn. There is an autobody shop there by the name of wreck-o-mended.One of my favorite names ever.Reverie or wreck-o-mended?

Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Maybe old news, but Sano recalled.
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Joe West might be the best ball and strike ump in the game. He's the only one!ba-dum-ching
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Maybe old news, but Sano recalled.I think we all remember Sano.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Just pulled up the box on my phone and it tells me that Lynn has thrown 47 pitches, 35 of which went for strikes. Against Boston. In Boston. That's a typo, right? I assume it should read 97 pitches.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Buxton homered in his first plate appearance tonight... also has a walk and just stole a base

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Garver is two for two on throws tonight.
tvagle Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Maybe old news, but Sano recalled. Do you mean back to Rochester? That was quicker than a Busenitz Back-and-Forth
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Shift pays dividends. A few years ago that's an RBI single.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 28, 2018 Posted July 28, 2018 Come on, L.L. Bean, if you're gonna give a guy a base with the HBP, why not get your money's worth?
