jimmer Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 I love the booth roasting Joe West. It's great, and well deserved.watching the Boston feed. Richard and Torii means other teams feed (for me).
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 I really hope we didn’t miss our only chance of the night already
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 I'll take the over and bet the Pohlad family farm...what there's no farm in the family history? Quite a few farms in their family history, they just never actually farmed them.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 We seem to struggle against these soft tossing lefties. Thankfully Gibby seems to have settled in
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Not a single baserunner since the first inning. Who woulda thunk
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Need to do something about these one two three innings. This Johnson guy is getting away with murder.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 I guess Torii doesn't follow the rest of the league on his days off.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 What the hell are we doing on the bases tonite?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 What in the absolute **** did Rosario just do?!
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 WTF....Another bone headed base running play. That was not needed Eddie. STUPID.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 That’s just awful by rosario. Awful.
jimmer Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 That's unacceptable. One out and thrown out at home? Down one late in the game?
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 The Twins have the right idea by being more aggressive on the bases. If the runner has at least a 34% chance of scoring, he should run home. I didn't have a problem with sending Mauer in the first inning. I did have a problem with Rosario running home in the 6th. The chances of him scoring with the ball in the second baseman's hand was almost definitely less than 34%.
ashbury Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Man that really makes me mad.Concur. Not as mad as I was at Cave the other day, but wrong time for that play.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 I love Rosario. I love him. But if he ever wants to become a superstar, he can't be an idiot on the bases, or in the outfield. That is some high school stuff right there. That isn't going to work on a major league team.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Without having seen the play, and only reading what's in the game thread, I am going to take Rosario's side (for now). He's been making plays all season. He's the main reason this team still has a pulse. He's had to watch Glynn make countless lame judgments all season, including one tonight.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Concur. Not as mad as I was at Cave the other day, but wrong time for that play. There’s being aggressive and there’s being brainless. Can’t really ever be brainless, certainly not at this point of the season.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 What in the absolute **** did Rosario just do?! Eddie is about 90% All Star and 10% "What in the absolute **** did Rosario just do?!". As tremendously fun as he's been to watch, that ratio will need to get better when the Twins contend. But for now, he and Berrios are about all that's keeping me from a Twins sabbatical.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 If that’s it for Kyle, he’s been marvelous. But again no run support
slash129 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 We have to keep Gibson. He's the guy that can go into New York or Boston and not get rattled.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 If that’s it for Kyle, he’s been marvelous. But again no run supportGood thing we don't grade pitchers based on wins and losses like they did in the good 'ol days!
gil4 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Torii, after Pearce looked at strike 3: "That would have struck me out. too." (He had guessed slider or change before the pitch.)
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Put this on the back burner for tomorrow’s game: Joe West will be the home plate umpire.
BoofBonser Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Very nice at-bat by Kepler therePerfect hit and run execution, also
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Love seeing the hit and run executed
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 27, 2018 Posted July 27, 2018 Adrianza is the crucial AB here. And he lays down a bunt for some reason
