Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Great base running on that play...good to see after some of the questionable plays on the bases by our Twins
jkcarew Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Buxton pinch-hit for during an AB in the 3rd inning tonight. And Corcino struck out on Buxton's dime. Fouled one off his foot?Controversial SABR-driven approach to improve launch angle has Buxton batting with his feet. He fouled one off his hand.
Tom Froemming Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 13, 2018 Author Posted July 13, 2018 Blake Snell's ERA by inning:1: 1.422: 1.423: 2.374: 1.535: 4.766: 1.177: 2.25 Some early runs would be huge.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 OMG, Snell's form looks terrible on the mound. He's leaning half way between first and home when he raises his front foot. That means he has to adjust back towards the plate to throw a strike. Terrible form!
howeda7 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Our clean up hitter went up there looking to walk, and by God he did.
Tom Froemming Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 13, 2018 Author Posted July 13, 2018 Cleveland lost to the Yankees 7-4.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Twins hitters have GOT to make Snell throw strikes. He's having a terrible time with his command. If nothing else, run up his pitch count.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Yup, that's our Twins for ya! At least we got their ace to throw 30 pitches, but now the game's probably going to end at 1am.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Astudillo up; wrong guy to run up the pitch count. Well, at least he didn't whiff.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Cleveland lost to the Yankees 7-4.Nice try. You almost suckered me into burning a 'Like' on a post about something good happening to the Yankees.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Well, taking advantage of my two free weeks of MLB.tv I got for voting fruitlessly for Rosario. Worked pretty slick. Kind of weird to actually see these guys live, to be honest.

Han Joelo Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Kripes, spoke to soon maybe. Just getting highlights as Gibson is mowing em down in real time.
Han Joelo Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Never saw this promotion? What'd you have to do?There was small print below the voting. But I got a "thank you" email and the link was in there.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Feels like that 1st inning opportunity was pretty huge...and wasted.

jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 The way Snell is tilting left and right, it should be easy to read the lateral location of his pitches. He's leaning the way he's trying to throw. That much lean is creating problems. He should be trying to find a centered balance point, so he can work outwards from the middle.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Great hit and run and AB from Ehire
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 If Snell leans left on lifting front foot, pitch is wide left. Right lean, wide right. Center lean, right down the middle. Twins hitters should be killing this guy.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Snell's balance on the mound is so off, it wouldn't surprise me if he falls over. He's lurching around like he's on drugs, or completely hung over from an all night drinking binge. If he's not sick, his coaches should chew him a new one.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Too bad the Twins couldn't get more runs off Snell those first two innings. He doesn't look right... that 2.09 is hard to believe.
jimbo92107 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Wow, contrast Snell's lurching wildness with Gibson's precise balance. Big difference, soon a big difference in score.

Never seen him before though, so maybe he always has had a cadaverous look.
Tom Froemming Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 13, 2018 Author Posted July 13, 2018 Kyle Gibson so far tonight: 15 four-seamers, nine curveballs, eight two-seamers, five sliders, three changeups.
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 ALL STAR IN MY BOOK! EDIT: I need to pay more attention. Thought that was Eddie. Grossman isn't even an AAA all-star
Mill1634 Verified Member Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Snell must be real off tonight. Great heads up play by Jorge
Tom Froemming Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 13, 2018 Author Posted July 13, 2018 That appears to me to have been an excellent call by he ump. He got into great position.
