mrmpls Verified Member Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Strike there Grossman , to close to watch
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 WTF!? You're batting Morrison in the 6th against a LHP to lead off an inning? edit: Easy out, but I guess that means Cave will be the big late inning PH AB?Don't worry, managers barely influence their teams! I feel like these terrible decisions have piled up and it's a big reason why we're so terrible in one run games...
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Someone talk me off the ledge...that’s not Brian Bass mowing through the middle of the Twins order, right?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Gross. Man. * *couldn't help myself.....frustrated with STEAM right now, so there, you get punished.

Makes sense, right?

Shaitan Verified Member Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Someone talk me off the ledge...that’s not Brian Bass mowing through the middle of the Twins order, right? I could not remember his first name. He lasted another year with KC and BAL if my memory is correct.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Strike there Grossman , to close to watchfor someone who "takes a lot of walks" you'd think he would have the ability to foul off close pitches
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 Unfortunately the wind was blowing out only when the Cubs were up
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I could not remember his first name. He lasted another year with KC and BAL if my memory is correct.He was something of a celebrity on the board where some of us used to hang...Battle Your Tail Off. RIP.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Well, Matt Magill has regressed back into what many thought he was. {sarcasm} Screw it, time to get Dillon Gee out of South Korea!!!! /{sarcasm}
S. Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Unfortunately the wind was blowing out only when the Cubs were upNo matter how hard the wind is blowing out, you still can't hit on a home run on a strikeout. Hurricanes excluded.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Someone talk me off the ledge...that’s not Brian Bass mowing through the middle of the Twins order, right? If you didn't like that, then you might not want to watch the Twins try to hit Jon Lester on Sunday:
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Still too early to decide they aren't a playoff team.....
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 for someone who "takes a lot of walks" you'd think he would have the ability to foul off close pitchesI know this is unpopular, but I discount any player who’s offense is built around walks-based OBP. For one thing, walks aren’t as valuable as hits, and for another, depending on MLB pitchers to fear you and not throw strikes, when they have no reason to fear you, isn’t a viable long term strategy. And also eventually, you score runs by hitting the **** ball, not NOT hitting the ball.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 At this point Magill might as well finish the game. He threw 60 pitches last time out. He should be fine.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 In retrospect, Molitor pinch hitting Morrison when he did was genius. At that point, it still appeared as if a HR might matter.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Man, I just want Twins baseball to be fun to watch again. Is that really too much to ask?Most of the last decade suggests that it is.
