USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 It's like Mauer can't really see the ball well again.... and he's not talking.I don’t see much difference.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Twins game looks like a real hootenanny tonight!
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Are there any coaches left to tell him not to?Winner.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Well, we've figured out what happens when the Eddies cool off. This atrocity. And as mentioned earlier, Mauer's been awful at the plate since his return. He's hit just .158 and when paired with zero power... it'd be a bigger problem if everyone else wasn't terrible. Not sure if Polanco's going to be able to take Adrianza's spot, as his bat has been surprisingly solid this season. He could probably DH the first week and take Morrison's PAs.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Hey... when did playing a catcher, or any position player, out of position, ever bother the Twins Way, anyway? It is still common for the Twins to bring someone up, and then play him at a position he hasn't been playing, or never has played, and then ask him to do it in the show. If they play Astudillo out of position enough to make it his new position, then when they bring him up and he plays catcher, they will be following their MO and playing him out of position by having him catch again. It all makes Twinsense to me.
tvagle Verified Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Hate to say it...but it sure looks like the MOY has lost the team...Dozier = lifeless, takes strike 3 and ho-hums his way to the dugout...baserunner gets picked and wanders off the field Gargoyles be damned, most players look like they're going through the motions...time for a change
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 I thought we were joking about making Pressly's arm fall off, but clearly the team is intent that happening literally.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Hey look...it’s the seldom used Ryan Pressly.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Pressly = worthless for the last month.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Mauer continues to destroy the ball this evening. Those have got to be the four weakest contacts I've seen from him. It's like Mauer can't really see the ball well again.... and he's not talking.Obviously he's not seeing the ball well, he has weak contacts, keep up.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 I just remembered we have a 9 man bullpen and we're using Pressly on back-to-back games down 5 runs...
jkcarew Verified Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 I don’t see much difference.Only taken 4 called strikes in four at-bats. Clearly something’s wrong.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 I just remembered we have a 9 man bullpen and we're using Pressly on back-to-back games down 5 runs... Can’t over work Belisle. AARP would be all over you if you did. Bah dum tschhh
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Obviously he's not seeing the ball well, he has weak contacts, keep up. That's not very mod-like of you.
David HK Verified Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 You know how on the gameday they have that long list of defensive substitutions sometimes? I was just imagining one that read something like "entire Twins lineup substituted by Rochester team. I mean, AAA team are no great shakes, but heck, I'd bet some of those boys would at least look like they're TRYING.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 In a season of disappointments, tonight might be the low point. Embarrassed by James Shields and the Chicago White Sox.

It's the overall remake of the organization that has been so successful!

I think the dictionary definition would be something like: "The propensity to do the exact opposite thing as normal logic would dictate, as if one were intentionally trying to muck up a given situation."
tvagle Verified Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Arkansas with the Twin-like misplay on foul pop up...will Larnach get a chance to be a hero... Larnach up with go ahead run on first... There's HOPE....2-run Bomb (look Joe he pulled it down the line)

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Geez, just realized Molitor can't get blamed for overworking Pressly tonight. So this must be systematic abuse?
tvagle Verified Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Adley named New lineup plan for rest of the seasonC - Play Garver daily1B - Allow Joe to end the year where he belongs (on the DL with some kind of symptoms)2B - GordonSS - Polanco (until he builds trade value above Dominican prescription)3B - AustidilloCF - Nothing (Buston)RF - But (Kepler)LF - Raindrops (Rosario - tears after watching baserunning)DH - Larnach #RushforRutschman
jun Verified Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Why Morrison? Garver should pinch hit.Morrison is just like Wilson. Both of them are among the worst and need to be released. Replace an automatic out with another. What a joke!
Blake Verified Member Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 I would say Molitor has lost this team. The team is flailing and seems to have resigned themselves to their fate. Good grief. The FO made some decent moves to improve the team and, instead, the team is worse. Uggh.
