bighat Verified Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Three curveball strikeout for Sano. He's looking very overweight, pretty sure that month-long layoff didn't help. lukeduke1980 1
OTPS300 Verified Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Sano K's on 3 pitches, 1 of them was in the strike zone. glunn and bighat 2
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Buxton base hit and Dozier tries to hit it into the stratosphere and pops out. That's the general direction of the stratosphere........ . But he came up short. Blake, Riverbrian, nicksaviking and 2 others 5
bighat Verified Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Has buxton tried to steal since being hurtHe's only been on base like 3 times since he got back. But yeah I believe he stole a base against Detroit last week. jun, glunn, lukeduke1980 and 1 other 4

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2018 Author Posted May 29, 2018 The batting order and the batting averages makes me shudder. What can be done to jumpstart the offense. Dozier has to stop trying to pull the outside pitch Sano has to stop swinging at pitches out of the zone Buxton needs to level his swing out for better contact. Morrison needs to lay down a couple of bunts against the shift to loosen things up. Garver needs to play more than Wilson Falvey and Lavine has to provide alternatives that Molitor will play on occasion in case these guys don't do what they need to do. bighat, nicksaviking, Platoon and 2 others 5

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Dozier, Sano and Morrison should hit lower in the order. Petit and LaMarre should play more.KeplerRosarioEscobarGarverMorrisonGrossmanSanoPetitLaMarre or Buxtonyeah that's not a bad idea. I'd move those three down, too, but that means moving guys up who don't deserve to be up there. I'd bat Buxton 6th or 7th, not sure why. When he's on base, he affects the game, and batting him 9th assures he'll have the least chances to get on base. Not that he's getting on base much now. Also, I'd hope Mauer comes back soon, although that's not likely.
twinsbaby Verified Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Buxton can't get on base. His OBP is .186. That's a joke if you want him hit 6th/7th.
jtkoupal Verified Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Junis gets a lot worse when he faces the lineup for the third time. His pitch count is a bit lower than ideal, but as long as Lynn keeps pitching well, this looks promising. glunn, Hosken Bombo Disco and Riverbrian 3

jimmer Verified Member Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Why wasn't Escobar on the shortstop side? We've seen the shift where Sano is on the 2B side and Escobar is on the shortstop side by himself. That's an out if Escobar is on the shortstop side.
