This lineup is proof as to why LaMarre can't be on this team - Molitor can't help but insert him into the lineup.

In Spring Training Ryan LaMarre was 19-40 for a .475 batting average

With the Twins he was 11-34 for a .324 batting average

In AAA with Rochester he was 13-35 for a .371 batting average

Added all together: 43-109 for a .394 batting average.

I think this is worthy of applause.

He was out by a mile but I don’t hate the decision. Grossman hitting .148 with risp

He's due!

And I know what you're saying, but still... not only was Zaza out by almost a Prius, he only beat "What the hell were they thinking?" by half a step.

We get it ... you love you some Ryan LaMarre. He's also struck out 41% or his MLB ABs and 33% including his time at Rochester. And his slugging is a whopping .324. The guy is AAA filler.

And since when do ST stats matter? Wasn't Luke Hughes basically ST Jesus? How'd that work out?

About 10 years or so ago...i can't remember exactly...a gentleman I worked with, about 20 years older than me, spoke to his doctor about his memory failing him at times, or not being as sharp, the doctor explained that wasn't really the case. He told Robert...I remember his name, the guy i worked with, not tne doctor, i never met him..."Robert, you have to think of your memory as a large library. When you are younger, the shelves are more empty. So when you search for something to remember, you have fewer volumes to search through. As you get older, you have more and more books of experience to search through. It's not that your memory is worse necessarily, you just have library shelves that are more heavily stacked."

I may "forget" some things now and again, but the older I get, the more I remember this story.

In honor of that, and Phil Hughes, I give you this:

At first glance... I thought it was Blyleven.

Is it because he's one of us by marriage? I know we love ones of us.

I clapped a little, which was awkward because I'm in a school board meeting.

I'm surprised you weren't snoring.

For sure, but luckily the giveaway is that Phil Hughes is holding a light saber instead of a cigarette lighter.

Nope, CPAP.

Which is also awkward.

I will if I have to.

For anyone keeping track at home, Ryan LaMarre's career OPS is 162 points lower than Mark Davidson's.

Is that... good?

Is that... good?

I mean, I'm assuming that we don't view .592 as HOF level, so I'm not sure what .430 would be. Sugarland Skeeters?

My dog's feelings about the Twins'chance of winning tonight:

Concerned. Captured during Grossman's at bat.

If you had two dogs, I imagine during Frenchy's ABs it'd be something like this.

I hope for the sake of whoever actually told Hughes he was cut that he wasn't holding a real light saber at the time.

On the other hand he's getting paid a bajillion dollars to play golf and go fishing this summer, so things could be worse, I guess.

In the last 7 games Dozier, Buxton, and Adrianza are a mind-numbing 3 for 46.     3 for 48 if you count tonight.

Looks like Lynn won’t be winning a gold glove this year. Better luck next year.

He's gonna need the extended Director's Cut of the Tom Emanski fielding videos.

Yeah... There is really no sense in him trying at all.  :)

5 shutout innings out of Lance Lynn?  Are we sure that's Lance Lynn on the mound tonite?  Check some ID or DNA.
