Curious how Molitor doesn't use Hughes for more than 1 inning at a time. This would have been the opportunity to let him get 2-3 innings, but he opts to keep him strictly for 1 inning. If I'm Hughes, that's pretty demoralizing.

Very much so. 

 

Better minor league numbers than Mauer, by far, with obvious power potential.

Going back to last Friday, the twins have won maybe 1 game they should have won, 2 they shouldn’t have and lost 1 they should have won. The rest of the losses were fully deserved

The truth is, I have the Extra Innings pkg and usually watch at least one game per series on the other team's broadcast.

 

Dick is above average, IMO.

 

Bert has grown pretty stale, though.

Dick B is fine, I don’t have the animosity towards him that some seem to. He does get annoying at times, namely when things are going poorly and he turns whiny. Not sure about Bert. He’s not there most of the time anymore and I’m not a huge fan of the rotating cast of cohosts they’ve been having. Cory is great and honestly dan G isn’t that bad. I’d like to have Cory on the tv broadcast but not sure how it would translate.

Was Mauer the last highly touted twins prospect to actually hit expectations?

Most recent...yes...sadly. Although I would say Hicks will end up close to ‘average result for #14 pick’....before Joe it would have been Hunter at 20 overall.

 

Buck just needs to be within shouting distance of a league average hitter...seems doable...but right from the start, hasn’t been one once better than he was three years ago.

I don't disagree, but would note that Buxton has shown flashes of a very high ceiling, and some established major leaguers (like Lynn) have also played poorly for long stretches. I would think that lots of teams would be willing to trade a lot for Buxton.
