jimmer Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Probably because he threw over 100 pitches in 5 inningsBetter he go seven and give up 3 or so I guess. I'm sorry, he struggled and yet managed to hold down Houston's offense to no runs. I'll take that. It's not like our bullpen had been overworked.
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Are all these walks (from both pitchers) because of the ump's small strike zone? Or are we going to blame the cold weather?Well, we could blame Rosario...
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Damn, ninja'd by the slow guy in a tan Buick sedan.

Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 This umpire is horrid for both sides
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Listening to our announcers talk. Why does Lynn (or anyone else) feel his start was bad? One of the best offenses scored nothing against him. What is going on?Do other teams take umbrage when the opposing pitcher says "I couldn't do anything out there tonight"* after shutout ball? * I don't know Lynn's actual words
jimmer Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Do other teams take umbrage when the opposing pitcher says "I couldn't do anything out there tonight" after shutout ball?yeah, exactly.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 This umpire is horrid for both sidesThat ball 4 did not have a pixel outside of the strikezone according to MLB gameday...
David HK Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Wow, what a snooze-fest- or walk-fest, eh? I went to teach a class after the 1st, got back in the top of the 3rd. Now I wonder if I skimped on the grammar parts or something.

D. Hocking Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Taking more pitches, or emoting more during radio commercial voiceover work? I don't think that kind of layered and nuanced voice work cannot be taught. It is a gift.
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Either the Foxtrack strike zone is screwed up or the umpire's strike zone is. Guess which I think.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Dick said a-phus pitch instead of eephus pitch
slash129 Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I bet this umpire gets season passes to the polar plunge tank.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 yeah, exactly. The unwritten rules aren't written down anywhere that i know of, so I have to ask.

Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Dangit, the way Keuchel is pitching if you're going to swing at the first pitch you'd better get on base.
Blake Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Are all these walks (from both pitchers) because of the ump's small strike zone? Or are we going to blame the cold weather?Checking the TD Stylesheet, the correct answer is: yes.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I don't think that kind of layered and nuanced voice work cannot be taught. It is a gift. Whatever his actual words, Joe's monotone radio ad voice tells people 'I'm hopelessly boring, but please buy this product anyway because I'm nice and I'm from here'. And fifteen years later, it's still working.

I wonder which player is not not going to survive the episode game.
