FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Yeah, he's got nasty stuff. Odd his ERA is that high.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2017 Posted September 27, 2017 Another dead red first pitch take by the mauer.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Wow. 3 balls to Buxton. Three swinging strikes instead.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 I guess we'll just keep letting encarnacion reach
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Mejia giving up some rockets
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Yeah, he's got nasty stuff. Odd his ERA is that high. His FIP is almost a run lower and his BABIP is high. The guy is nasty.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Mejia really hurting himself by continuing to fall behind.
Pius Jefferson Verified Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Everyone's heard the Twins will be the first team to go from 100 or more loses and make the playoffs. 1962-League reaches twenty teams, Add one more playoff teams per league. Nothing. 1968-93-Division format. Add two more playoff teams per league. Nothing. 1996-2011-WIldcard era. Added now the second wildcard team. Wildcard era would have started in 1994 but you know what happened that year and 1995 was a shortened season. Nothing.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Mejia 64 pitches, 35 strikes. Is he hurt or just this terrible at control?
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 So we adopted this good looking doggo on the left last week, ever since then the Twins have been on fire (ditto with Vikings)Twins win tonight 9-1, and lose tomorrow 7-1 due to the hangover Meet Frank [Viola]image2.JPGLeft, to me at least, is the picture on the wall. I'm guessing you might be posting premature celebration. Which one is frank?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Another short start. Can't do this in October
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Why....why? Wtf are you doing that for at 1-2? Ffs, its Yan frickin Gomes.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Another short start. Can't do this in October Tell that to every other MLB manager in the game who apparently think you get extra points per pitching change. That said, I do not want to see Mejia in a postseason game.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Mejia 64 pitches, 35 strikes. Is he hurt or just this terrible at control?Yes Obligatory.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 season is over.sell?

Broker Provisional Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Not looking good so far. . .
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Indians announcers miffed by Paul's pitching staff approach these last two nights. "Can't do this in the playoffs" they say
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Mejia 64 pitches, 35 strikes. Is he hurt or just this terrible at control? He seems to land in a different spot every time. Hopefully he makes a mechanical adjustment over the off-season. He's got decent stuff. He just needs to control it.

TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 3 man rotations worked well in 87 and 91. Not quite sure what changed over the years that everyone decided they had to go to 4-man rotations and the series schedules were in the same amount of days. I'd be fine with a rotation of Berrios-Gibby-Erv (since Erv will start the WC game). Have Gee as a long man and maybe even have Mejia as a situational lefty. I just wonder what the impetus was to insert Mejia back into the rotation and not at least give Slegers another shot.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 So, 3 man postseason rotation?yeah, it's a pretty open question who would be the fourth starter. Let's also hope that becomes a real question
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Francona should be fired. Come on. This is just ridiculous.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 So, 3 man postseason rotation? If they are only going to throw 60 pitches why not?
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Indians announcers miffed by Paul's pitching staff approach these last two nights. "Can't do this in the playoffs" they say Then they watch the masterful Francona burn through his staff night after night.

Only took 6 years.Teams around .500 can now, some seasons, be a playoff team. I am not discounting the accomplishment, but pointing out something that is a significant change that was recently added.
