TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Awwwwww...you're gonna pull Mejia NOW?
Jham Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 WTH.... Wow Molly. Quick hook.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 So Mejia inspired no confidence in me prior to the game. He completely proves me wrong and Molly still decides to over-manage. He is pitching well. LEAVE HIM IN! Danchat 1
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 (edited) So I predicted Dozier would have a 3.9 WAR (fangraphs version) this year. So far he's at 3.7. Edited September 22, 2017 by jimmer
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Molly evidently thinks Andrew Miller is coming out of that bullpen.
Whammy Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 He probably had a bit of pitch count.... but yeah, he was cruising Danchat 1
Jham Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 No, before.Yeah, Mejia reminds me of Liriano after surgery. A little hump to the slider, but a smooth but somewhat violent 3/4 delivery with great arm speed and deception. glunn 1
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Mejia was at 79 pitches. Is he on some kind of limit? bighat and glunn 2
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Fryman for you, Robert Fick for me Fryman? Fick? Bah, I want Eugene Kingsale. Riverbrian 1
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Mejia was at 79 pitches. Is he on some kind of limit? They said before the game he'd only throw 70-80. glunn 1
Whammy Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Oh good... Miggy is 4-6 lifetime with 2 HR vs Gee
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 WHy the hell did Mollie pull Mejia??!?!?!?
John Kelsey Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 WHy the hell did Mollie pull Mejia??!?!?!? Or at least do his damn research on how Cabrera hits Gee.
Whammy Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Nobody gives a Sh---t about the pitchers win stat, announcer guy!!!! Ultima Ratio 1
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Does Molitor not look stats up? How does he not know Cabrera was 4 for 6 against Gee? Not saying I would have left Mejia in, but I'm using someone not named Dillon Gee.
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Nobody gives a Sh---t about the pitchers win stat, announcer guy!!!!John Lackey still does :-)
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Nobody gives a Sh---t about the pitchers win stat, announcer guy!!!!Mejia might differ with you
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Pitch count was set at 78.5 Aggies7, Riverbrian and glunn 3
Whammy Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Pitch count was set at 78.5I'll take the over Riverbrian 1
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I don't think them pulling Mejia was a bad idea (they weren't going to go over his pitch count), but it stinks to see him yanked after doing so well. He's pretty clearly our 4th best starter right now (behind Gibson and ahead of Colon). bighat 1
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I don't think them pulling Mejia was a bad idea (they weren't going to go over his pitch count), but it stinks to see him yanked after doing so well. He's pretty clearly our 4th best starter right now (behind Gibson and ahead of Colon).Wow, behind Gibson. That's so sad.
bighat Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Mejia was at 79 pitches. Is he on some kind of limit? Twins are pretty much in "must win" mode. Mejia hasn't earned himself much of a leash, given his recent history. With a lead on the road, it appears Molly's going for the win today, and will worry about tomorrow...tomorrow. glunn, Intramural Legend and Hosken Bombo Disco 3
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Wow, behind Gibson. That's so sad.It is, but Gibson has been good lately, except for his last outing. And also the fact that the offense scores 10+ runs his past 4 or so parts.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I hate that I critcized joe this week. I'm a horsesarse glunn, Riverbrian and bighat 3
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 Show of hands.... How many of y'all back in June had Mauer at .310 or higher by this point of the season? jimmer, bighat, Hosken Bombo Disco and 2 others 5
