sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I watched the game yesterday. He had to get 3 hits in a game to get his average over .200. Still the worst hitter in the AL.I think i like him. Worst hitter in the AL. Should he go to the NL , he'd be the worst pitcher... Can't seem to win, except on the field.
ThejacKmp Provisional Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Giminez batting 5th?Let me get this straight: We're fighting for our playoff lives and we're pitching Tim Melville and Dillon Gee....and Chris Gimenez is batting 5th? I don't care if the pitches with his left leg....Chris Gimenez might be he worst hitter in the AL right now. Without Sano this lineup is really rough against lefties. I get that they may want their best defense out there for Melville but this lineup would be way better if Vargas was DHing and Garver was in LF for Kepler.Hopefully not many more lefties during Sano's DL stint.

notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Moncada fails to score as Garver staggers around for a bit.
ThejacKmp Provisional Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I forsee much bullpen usage What are the odds that Garver's first MLB catching experience comes with Gimenez on the mound?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I'm glad the ticket prices were two for the cost of one
ThejacKmp Provisional Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Moncada fails to score as Garver staggers around for a bit. That was terrible base running. And then Moby Tim can't take advantage. Hosken Bombo Disco 1
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I forsee much bullpen usageI figure 5 innings with under 4 given up by Melville is about as good as can be expected.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Gameday has Sanchez flying out on a 95.9 MPH curveball. Seems like Melville should be harder to hit with that kind of stuff.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 GISP: Garver in scoring position...
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Better inning. Didn't see the 95 mph curveball though.
ThejacKmp Provisional Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Nicer second inning. Hopefully he was just trying too hard that first inning. He did seem to be overthrowing.
ThejacKmp Provisional Member Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Also, there is no one at this game
