Circus Boy Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 OK, I admit I'm a huge Rosario fan, but after watching him go on this multiple month tear, just how good can he become?Women fear him, men want to have his baby.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Bartolo goes out for the 7th?why not?
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 6 homers given up in the last 8 innings pitched for the fat man. Yet, he seems to be a unmovable part of the rotation in this FO's plan for this year.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 OK, I admit I'm a huge Rosario fan, but after watching him go on this multiple month tear, just how good can he become?Quick glance at his splits shows something I'm not sure I've seen anyone mention on the site before. Huge numbers at home .977 OPS and sub .700 on the road. I was not aware of that. Weird.
amjgt Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 For the sake of argument, if we win today Mitch Garver will be 2-0. I wonder what the record is for most games appeared in without your team losing that game. Both pitchers and position players
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Bartolo goes out for the 7th?Two games tomorrow being started by pitchers of questionable quality. I say yes.
h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Judge trying to take the strikeout thunder away from Sano. How rude.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Gimenez' HBP a little "so you wanna steal bases up 12-4, eh Buxton?" message"
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 I'm bored with the game already. Since Ash is here today, but was absent yesterday, reposted from yesterday's game thread is a story from his most recent visit to Tucson: --- My dog, Buxton can talk. No...really. My friend Ashbury was visiting recently, but didn’t believe that Buxton could talk. So Ash asked him, “What’s on top of a house?”“Roof,” said Buxton.Ash wasn’t convinced. So he asked Buxton how sandpaper feels.“Rough.”Ash had a bemused look on his face..."I think I see what you're trying to pull, here, Chief. But OK, I'll play along. He turned to Buxton and, with a wry smile, asked "O.K., who was the greatest baseball player of all time?”“Ruth.”With that, Ash gave us a little courtesy laugh, and walked away.Buxton looked up and me and said "He's one of them saber guys, isn't he. I should have said Bonds."And I was bored reading that a second time. Jokes aren't funny when you already know the punch line.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Gardy managing again at Target Field.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Could see a situation where Pressly is asked to (try anyway) finish the game and then likely be sent out.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Dick forgot to end his sentence with "dude." (Can I get banned for that?)No, just edited.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 UghVargas I suppose. Maybe Granite if he is healthy. Dark horse: Matt Hague.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Gleeman is reporting Berardino is reporting Sano to the DL>Based on nothing more than the score of this game at this time, I think they'll be fine.
amjgt Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Maybe it's just the fact that I'm way more familiar with the AL, but who's this Jake Lamb guy and why does Miguel Sano get significantly more pub than he does.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 And I was bored reading that a second time. Jokes aren't funny when you already know the punch line.I'll take that as confirmation it was funny when you didn't know the punch line, thankyouverymuch.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Gardy managing again at Target Field.Somebody get him wound up so he gets tossed. I miss his red-faced tantrums. Nothing else, though.
yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Somebody get him wound up so he gets tossed. I miss his red-faced tantrums. Nothing else, though. All it might take is a high tight one that gets an Arizona pitcher tossed. Of course, the ehection would be automatic. But I suspect he would get his money's worth.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Maybe it's just the fact that I'm way more familiar with the AL, but who's this Jake Lamb guy and why does Miguel Sano get significantly more pub than he does. It's hard to take a guy named Jake Lamb seriously?
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 All it might take is a high tight one that gets an Arizona pitcher tossed."fingers crossed"
mickeymental Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 It's hard to take a guy named Jake Lamb seriously?lamb is 2.5 years older?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 He can DH and like it. Plus no more posts about Park or Vargas make it worthwhile.Yes, this.
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 lamb is 2.5 years older? You answered my question with a question?
adorduan Verified Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 OK, I'm watching the game on MLB.tv, so I'm about 2 innings behind, but do we really need Buxton stealing with a big lead, and possibly jamming a finger or thumb or getting his hand stepped on or some other injury? Risk/reward doesn't seem to be worth it.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Two games tomorrow being started by pitchers of questionable quality. I say yes.I wish people would quit reminding me of how much potential fun I'll be having at the games tomorrow.

h2oface Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Buxton just can't lay off the outside slop. That was way outside. Like a foot outside.
