I wouldn't mind seeing JD Martinez in a Twins uni next year.

You'd trade Kepler or Rosario? Or, try to deal with whatever chemistry issues arise from trying to platoon them with the new corner addition?

I'd have Martinez at DH against RHers, spell one or the other against LHers, and maybe play a little first base.  Plenty of ABs for all.

 

I got room in my lineup for a guy who hasn't had less than a .879 OPS since 2013.

Colon is not looking good and is getting lucky with all these solo homers...

They keep him fresh. This way he doesn't have to waddle around backing up bases.

Nico Goodrum would look good in a Twins uniform about now. Plays anything but pitcher and catcher. Better pop than Adrianza, and also a good base stealer. Pretty sure he's a good outfielder, too. 

 

Niko Goodrum is having a fine season at 25 in AAA but he's only putting up a .750 OPS. In AAA. He profiles as the utility man of the future but the Twins aren't hurting there. Adrianza's got a .710 OPS in the majors this year and is a much better fielder. No way I'm dumping Adrianza for him.

 

Offseason might be a different question. It's not sexy but the Twins will have interesting choices with Escobar and Adrianza (and of course this will be directly tied into Dozier).
