I could have listened to MacPhail another inning. That was fun.

I was listening to that too. I hadn't heard the part about telling Pohlad that he had traded Mickey Hatcher before. Too funny.

[ashbury]

I wouldn't mind seeing JD Martinez in a Twins uni next year.

You'd trade Kepler or Rosario? Or, try to deal with whatever chemistry issues arise from trying to platoon them with the new corner addition?

[GCTF]

c'mon Garbay, hustle

Congrats to Barbaro Garbay on resuming his major league career after a 30 year hiatus!

I'd have Martinez at DH against RHers, spell one or the other against LHers, and maybe play a little first base.  Plenty of ABs for all.

I got room in my lineup for a guy who hasn't had less than a .879 OPS since 2013.

He can DH and like it. Plus no more posts about Park or Vargas make it worthwhile.

"It was my understanding there would be no spelling either."

[Puckett34]

Big Sexy please pitch at least 1-2 more good innings.  k thanks.

Perhaps that explains the home-to-first time.

[USAFChief]

Two more innings...room for another 5 solo shots, and still have the lead.

Beat me to it.

[Danchat]

Colon is not looking good and is getting lucky with all these solo homers...

Big Sexy.

[adorduan]

Colon is handing out homers like  candy on holloween.  He can stop anytime, OK.

[GCTF]

Eat it, Garber. I be keepin' my job.

[USAFChief]

Gimenez says "Garvey who?"

[Aggies7]

Gimenez homers...next on Shipley's believe it or not

They keep him fresh. This way he doesn't have to waddle around backing up bases.

could gimenez get himself out?

[USAFChief]

could gimenez get himself out?

If he could he'd never leave home.

[GCTF]

Gimenez says "Garvey who?"

I got nothing.

[USAFChief]

HR derby.  Hope it doesn't cause second half slumps.

[Circus Boy]

We kept a pretty good ballclub off the board for 19 consecutive innings. They were due for a few dings.

JD Who?

[GCTF]

lol

[USAFChief]

Garbonzo feeling the heat from Gimenez' offensive onslaught.

[USAFChief]

JD Who?

Yeah, he can play a little first.

[adorduan]

OK, I admit I'm a huge Rosario fan, but after watching him go on this multiple month tear, just how good can he become?

[ThejacKmp]

Nico Goodrum would look good in a Twins uniform about now. Plays anything but pitcher and catcher. Better pop than Adrianza, and also a good base stealer. Pretty sure he's a good outfielder, too.

Niko Goodrum is having a fine season at 25 in AAA but he's only putting up a .750 OPS. In AAA. He profiles as the utility man of the future but the Twins aren't hurting there. Adrianza's got a .710 OPS in the majors this year and is a much better fielder. No way I'm dumping Adrianza for him.

Offseason might be a different question. It's not sexy but the Twins will have interesting choices with Escobar and Adrianza (and of course this will be directly tied into Dozier).

Bartolo goes out for the 7th?
