Nice to see. As much as I like to bash him, he's been pretty damn good this year and has raised his trade value along the way if they choose to go that route.

branden Kintzler was named as o e one six replacements for the AL squad for the All Star Game. Good for him and good luck! http://m.twins.mlb.com/news/article/240988074/mlb-announces-all-star-game-replacements/

Great news. Kintzler is very deserving, and he's a nice story on perseverance.

[gunnarthor]

Oh no, man. The Twins don't deserve three all-stars.

[Twinfan & Dad]

Well deserved! Not your typical overpowering closer but gets it done with movement and location. A great example of someone understanding how to pitch and play the game within the game with getting the batter guessing.

This will be a story to tell to his kids & grand kids.

Good for him!

I actually think Kintzler was the most deserving of all Twins. Yeah, sometimes you hold your breath until the game is done, but I think he has been the most consistently solid over the 1st half of the season.

From Indie ball to All Star.

Good job, Mr. Kintzler!

[Guest]

Outstanding! (Now, can he be traded for a decent player? He should get much more than Abad got.)

[Ebby Calvin Laloosh]

He looked like an All-Star last night. Most nights are stressful watching him pitch. Don't get me wrong, he gets the job done, but you just don't feel great about it. Last night, against some birds he looked great.

How about the return for the Twins' surprise All-Star last year? I'd take the equivalent of Meíja for Kintzler.

[Mike Sixel]

Congrats to him! Very happy for him

[big dog]

Named to the team as a replacement.  Very happy for him.

The Nuñez-Mejía trade could be one that benefits both teams. It benefited the Giants last year and it's beginning to look like it could benefit the Twins for several years.
