I remember when charlotte was the hot market to land MLB, but they just built a new park that could never be expanded. I also remember when buffalo was in the mix.

Even though Buxton whiffed on that slider outside the zone, I liked the hip action. He brought his rear hip forward, and did not retreat with the lead hip. He even finished straddling the plate, which is exactly what he needs to do. Progress. 

 

Next, get him to turn the hip with the back knee tucked in beside the lead knee. That's where the great ones get a powerful snap. The knock-knee finish keeps the hands traveling forward in a straight line, rather than an arc. 

....then you turn yourself around--  that's what it's all about!

I don't know why Buxton didn't steal 2nd at least six times. He could have stolen 2nd, then gone back to first, stolen again, etc.
