Turley might be left out to be his own long man for awhile. His pitch count is still in good shape. The Twins have to get at least 5 from Turley. 6 would be fantastic.

Counting on Hughes (health-wise) or Santiago (skill-wise) to begin with...not a good idea.

Judging by the fact that this FO seems much more willing to part with dead weight, I would expect this offseason to have more signings. When things have been Messed up for so long, it wasn't going to get better overnight

Wolfson had a tweet that he's just going to be there for a couple weeks to get used to playing OF every day, then likely go to Ft Myers

He can't do that against people close to his age? Really?

That's what happens when you decide to sign 100 year old free agents, and to trust Hughes. But, hey, we should completely trust them.

Sit tight, we only have two more years of tingly finger phil

There aren't many good options for starters. And they choose this bullpen.

Much more cool with that.

In their defense, what choice do they have with Santiago and Hughes out

They could......spend some money in the offseason....dun dun duuuuunnn....(cue high pitch woman scream)....

They don't have to spend $200M and get Max Scherzer to have a reasonably serviceable 6/7th option. Especially when you're penciling in Phil Hughes, who clearly shouldn't have been in the rotation from the beginning.

Man I thought that was gone.

And wtf is Rosario doing down 4 runs? He makes some egregious rookie mistakes

He's not baseball smart.

What else were they supposed to do with Hughes though?

They could just waive him and move on. Sure they'd have to eat his salary, but they can move on and give others a chance.

It goes farther. Tonight's Weather Outlook (TWO) includes a chance of Thunderstorms With Occasionallightning (TWO). The omens are everywhere if you know where to look.

Uh-oh... Those sound like Terrible Twos.

Hmmm, not sure how you justify that statement. He looked serviceable enough through 6 starts. And what exactly should the Twins have done with Hughes if not have him in the rotation from day one? Have him in the pen? And who exactly would have been starting instead? A free agent? Do you know who the top free agent starting pitcher was last year? 800 year old Bartolo Colon.

And eat two years of his salary for a team that lost 103 games last year? I don't think anyone on the roster, in the FO or on this board envisioned the twins/Indians series in mid June carrying any real significance. Did you?
