FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Carlson to Twins. Deal was made that's why the took Lewis. I'd bet his camp is saying that he won't sign if they pick him. No reason why he'd be on the board still. Willihammer, Miles Tones and 70charger 3

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 If it isn't Carlson, they got nothing for their savings. Unless all the rankings are wrong, and the Twins know something no one else seems to.

No reason why he'd be on the board still. If they get him that would be a big get as they don't have him far from Baz in the rankings. I had heard Carlson might fall some as so,e scouts didn't trust his arm. We'll see.

beckmt Verified Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Seth Romero went in the 1st Round. Shock, maybe this was one of the players the Twins were hoping would drop to them. Or maybe in Minnesota he was undraftable.
Bob Sacamento Verified Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 The Cubs AND Rangers could screw you over twice before the Twins pick. Luckily for Twins, I think Cubs are looking at a college arm and a prep bat.
drivlikejehu Verified Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Romero had been rumored to the Nats. I don't like the pick though, makeup is crucial, particularly for a starting pitcher.

Just always seems like it's been a "good guy clean" organization. Vanimal46 1
Bob Sacamento Verified Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Cubs go with Nate Pearson if I was a betting man
Dman Verified Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 If the Twins do get Carlson. They would likely need to come up with 1 to 1.5 Mil as he was slotted for somewhere between 15 to 20 to get picked. Hope they saved a lot on that first pick but then they would have two highly rated 1st round picks.

Just always seems like it's been a "good guy clean" organization.Gonsalves fell for character issues, at least in part. I'm pretty sure we've had a few others but can't remember them off hand. But, yeah, generally Ryan had a clean organization as part of the goal.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 13, 2017 Posted June 13, 2017 Would I trade Wright plus another guy for Lewis and Carlson? Probably? I think, but it it's closer than you think since there would have been a good player at thirty five at slot gunnarthor 1

And if you have ever met Stephen, you'd think he's the nicest guy because he really is. howieramone2, curt1965, gunnarthor and 2 others 5
