wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Twins pitchers learning the hard way how to navigate through a legit offensive team.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 ALF is on right now, and I'm this close to changing the channel to it
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 If our defensive wizard isn't going to move his feet with a tie game and the bases loaded while trying to earn a major league job. When is it going to happen? But he dropped down a nice bunt!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Well he got the ground ball......but Ehire couldn't "olé" it. As a coach... I would play that video for infielders as an example of how not to do it.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 As others have said: too many foul balls
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Well, it is looking very much like Wheeler time. Maybe the Twins can score a couple and get JO off the hook.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Five innings, 4 Ernies, 4 BB's, 104 pitches. That's not good, but it could have been sooooooo much worse if he had unraveled.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I really can't stand how that play is scored as a hit when it was obviously an error. Hopefully it'll be retroactively changed - Berrios should have 2 unearned runs right now.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I backed it up. Saw it. Sad.would have ended the inning
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Defensive wizard? What did I miss? When they signed him I said "who is this guy?" I started reading about him and the reports were "Defensive Wizard" I looked at his offensive stats and I said to myself "Must be" because he isn't an offensive powerhouse. Now I watch him at 3B reach for a ball he could have centered up and turned a double play on and cost us two runs and I'm questioning when I said to myself "Must be".
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Wow, fiers was absolutely on the ropes in the first inning. 30 pitches. He's had 39 since. We know how to keep the pressure on, that's for sure.
Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Fiers is the guy who surrenders a home run an inning, correct?
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Fiers is the guy who surrenders a home run an inning, correct?I don't know, but he reportedly is the guy who was going to be removed from the rotation until about a day ago
FlauerPauer Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 The Twins love making terrible pitchers look like Cy Young Award winners....

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Kepler is getting a HR here. Where are you located?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 J Jk CWell, it is looking very much like Wheeler time. Maybe the Twins can score a couple and get JO off the hook.Maybe not.
jimmer Verified Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Where are you located? In the delusional zone, apparently.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 well, there's always next year.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Fiers is doing what Berrios needed to do, get ahead of the hitters. He has thrown a 1st pitch strike to almost every batter since the 1st inning.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Where are you located?I hope he got one there, because he didn't get one here.

Hosken Bombo Disco Community Moderator Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 Well, at least we missed Dallas Keuchel, Nolan Ryan, and J. R. Richard this series.
