I don't care if he's due to get hit hard by the hammer of regression, I'm going to bask in every outing like this I can get.

Why do you think this will necessarily happen?  It's not like Santana is just blowing away dudes (phrasing) with his fastball.  He has 4 legit pitches he throws.  Gets weak contact.  He's sustained this type of pitching dating back to last July.

[FlauerPauer]

Let's ******' get it here, boys.

[Aggies7]

3 and a handshake

Couldn't have said it better my own d*mn self!

[FlauerPauer]

Nice play there, Jorge!

[Aggies7]

Another guy not running out a dropped third strike. I guess when you're a star,..

No one sustains this type of pitching as a starter, especially given ESan's k/bb rates.

90%+ LOB (vs a career mark of 73%)

.143 BABIP (vs career of .282)

Clayton Kershaw, in his best full seasons, had marks of 81.6% and .250.

This game has seemed to move along very quickly or those Christina Applegate pics quickened my heartbeat a bit.

[FlauerPauer]

He gone!

[Aggies7]

BOOM

[Mill1634]

Beautiful start from an ACE!!

Oh Ervin, please don't get traded (unless it's for a king's ransom).

[Pardon My Dinger]

Thataway, Erv!

[TNTwinsFan]

Another series win!

Let me paraphrase and then misattribute as a direct quote:

"Ervin Santana a much better pitcher than Clayton Kershaw - confirmed."

Let's go Reds.

[Jerr]

I'll give up my  partial credit for the Dozier HR, BUT I'm hanging on to my credit for my "Santana shut them down HARD, tonight"...

Great win Twins!!!!!!!!

[gocgo]

Wow!  Any unbelievers left out there?  First time in an eternity that the O's have been shut out at home.

[70charger]

This Santana guy. He's pretty good, huh?

[Aggies7]

First team to take a series in Baltimore this year

Now all we'll need is someone to stick it as a signature line and it will become undeniable history.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Winnah.

Complete game shut out, to boot.

What's not to like about the game and the season?

I didn't enjoy the quickness of tonight's game. Not even drunk yet
