Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Author Posted April 25, 2017 It's not a grand slam, but it'll do. And I am pretty happy with what Buxton has been able to do, too. Not whiffing today, made solid contact on a couple foul balls, has been getting ahead in counts, took a walk. And now he scores a run. That's how that happens. Yeah I enjoyed the Buxton AB's tonight almost as much as the Dozier double. I love feeling encouraged about something. Joe A. Preusser and big dog 2
Joe A. Preusser Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Hughes struggling to hit 90 with his FB. Not good.Provos reported 93 earlier. False?
IndianaTwin Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 The guy on first is almost always waiting to make sure the guy from second broke. This usually gives you enough time to catch him at 2nd.And the guy on second usually has a bigger lead, right? Riverbrian and Oldgoat_MN 2

That means he'll be gone sooner rather than later which is a good thingI can't wait to see a young Twins team later this summer/fallEven if they aren't very good, it'll be refreshing to see Joe A. 70charger Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Only 70 pitches for Hughes so far. How long do they keep rolling that die?
laloesch Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 (edited) Boof, go back to the Indy leagues. He's actually pitched a decent game so far. Bert has it right he's learning to pitch instead of just throwing it. I think he's much more effective throwing fewer FB's and mixing it up more. Sano llooking pretty good at 3rd.
