The Tigers bullpen is known to be shoddy. Uhh, nope, not that, let's try that again: The Twins just might win this one because the Tigers have a shoddy bullpen. Shoot..just not getting the hang of it. Sorry.

The Tigers ate $8 million of Pelfrey's contract, and now he's pitching for the White Sox.

 

At the very least, he's shared the pain very democratically among the AL Central.

I heard they chipped in another $2m to ensure the White Sox followed through.

Taylor Rogers-  nice stuff so far. 

 

I'm reminded of the late umpire Ron Luciano, when he had a brief stint in retirement as a color announcer.  During a Brewers game, Gorman Thomas at bat.

 

"Gorman.  Goooorman.  Not a ballplayer name.  Gorman.  Robin.  They don't sound like ballplayers."

(next batter- Sal Bando)

"Sal.  Now that's a ballplayer name!  Sal.  Hey, SAL!"

 

I imagine he might critique Mr. Rogers and a few others these days.
