Game Thread: Twins vs Royals@Target Field - 4/6, 10:10am PT (Noon:10 CT)

I'm not sure I buy this Hammel potato chip story told on the radio just now.

[hybridbear]

Joe swings again with a runner going just like someone posted recently...

[FunnyPenguin]

Sano steps to the plate, and all eyes are glued to their screens waiting for "In Play, Runs...

Just checking in from work.

I went to my friend's 80th birthday party at the home last night.  Sadly, I think he's starting to suffer from a touch of dementia.  He thinks he's a pirate.

I asked him how old he was, and he said "Aye, Matey!"

You talk almost as if you have first-hand experience with pirates...

[hybridbear]

I like that stretch by Gibson! Reminds me of Doug Mientkiewicz.

[Oldgoat_MN]

Amazing how much I'm enjoying this competitive play by the Twins.

[akmanak]

I am liking the solid defensive plays this season.

I found a picture of Chief!

How else would one evaluate pies?

[70charger]

Holy crap, that list of Twins' opening day shortstops was brutal.

[MNTSchmitt]

Jumping in late. Seen most of the game. Looks like we're picking up where we left off yesterday! How bout them Twinkies!

[James]

How else would one evaluate pies?

With forks?

[MNTSchmitt]

Has Buxton been striking out again?

[hybridbear]

Rosario walked! I can't believe it!

[d-mac]

Going into this at-bat Jason Castro had a .667/.889/.667 batting line with a 66.7% BB rate. He had made literally one out in 9 plate appearances.

[PopRiveter]

This good play is making it really hard to be productive at work.

Last season's approach was much better for my professional life.

[70charger]

Rosario ....walked?

[Blake]

aye, matey.

You're only 80? Somehow, I pictured you with a bit more, shall we say, experience.

[MNTSchmitt]

18 Walks this season already....love it.

I'm not sure I buy this Hammel potato chip story told on the radio just now.

Incidentally, it was brought to us by the Potato Farm Growers of Minnesota Association.

[Oldgoat_MN]

Has Buxton been striking out again?

Not today. Popup and  a ground out.

[Mike Sixel]

the downside of all this good play is a lack of off topic humor in the thread....

[MNTSchmitt]

Not today. Popup and  a ground out.

At least he is making contact today. That's a step in the right direction. Work the count at all?

[d-mac]

Rosario ....walked?

Doesn't matter the context. This meme will always get an upvote/like from me.

[Blake]

And Perez does what Perez does. Wow.

Unless they're from Joe Mauer, because that makes us angry for some reason.

Play first, hit home runs. Play second, bat second. Etc., etc.

Popup was 1st pitch.

Groundout was 5th pitch.

[MNTSchmitt]

He crushed that.....I still don't know how Perez is still standing after the WBC...I thought his knee was done for.

[70charger]

Well, the Royals answer back, but I gotta say. Gibson is still having a pretty damn good day overall. Shake it off and keep it up.
