Way back when I used to play, and I used the term advisedly, because I was a player of last resort behind the player of last resort, softball, I won a game by showing everyone else there was no need to swing because the opposing slow pitch pitcher could not put the ball over the plate to save his life. Guys on my team were shaking their heads, but, it was a playoff game.

 

It was comical. Never thought I'd see something like that at the MLB level, though.

What's happening Game day got weird? Froze up.

Twins are up 7-1 in the bottom of the 8th.

Since I knew I'd run out, I have been holding them back and using them mostly on Mike's post ... because it's his birthday today ... and I have been enjoying his Spanish posts ... and 4-5 pages went by too quickly with that last inning so it's more like 9-10 since I last mentioned it!

Hey, at least for a day the Twins pennant will fly in first place high above Target field. It's been awhile since that happened. Beating the Royals is like having Extra gravy on the biscuits.
