Tremendous voice. I had listened to a recording featuring her recently that reminded me of her voice. My vocal instructor in college lost a part to Cook and chose to return to Minnesota afterward, stating that if voices like that were going for bit parts, she had no chance at major roles. She found out later that Cook was badly miscast in that show with one of the best voices in the entire show, but by then she had a major illness that stripped the best of her voice. I heard about Cook in my vocal lessons a number of times because of that!
