2017 Celebrity Death Pool

[Musk21]

Time to turn the page on this God-awful year.....

Send me your 2017 lists.  Either PM or reply here.  25 celebrities.  Need to be fairly well-known.  I'll notify you if someone on your list doesn't meet the criteria.

1.) What is the "dead"line for our lists, and

2.) I propose that two names be declared "off the board" for this competition: Sid Hartman and Rod Carew.

You don't want to know what happened to the last guy who made suggestions to Musk on how to run his pool.

[steve]

Suit yourself; I'm easy.

R.I.P Milt Schmidt. Former Boston Bruins and NHL HOF passed away yesterday at 98 years old. He is the only Boston Bruin to serve as on-ice captain, head coach, and general manager.

[biggentleben]

My last edit took out Charles Manson, and now he's in the hospital. Is it bad when you're upset because you actually were pseudo-cheering for that one?

[biggentleben]

The wrestling world lost its first "legend" of the year in Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka. He was 73.

[Pius Jefferson]

One last Superfly Leap for Fijian cokehead murderer.

Outside of a handful of the state's professional athletes, she might have been the most beloved "honorary" Minnesotan.

Aside from Gordon Bombay, of course.

Who? Seriously ... who is that?

[Pardon My Dinger]

Who? Seriously ... who is that?

Ummm...he only defined the sport of hockey in the 1990's. Innovator of the Triple-Deke? Hello?

My childhood is calling on line 3... sounds pretty upset you don't know who Gordon Bombay is.

Hmm ... okay ... well ... the star of an iconic television show that today is still considered on 'best of' lists, or the star of a couple of B-movies? Hmmm ... did I miss his statue on Nicollet Mall?

[Pardon My Dinger]

Just so we're all clear: Emilio Estevez is alive and well...I assume.

Sir John Hurt.

[jimmer]

Sir John Hurt.

Obviously this man had many fantastic roles.  A true artist in the acting field.  I will always remember him from a movie that got little fanfare.  The movie was mostly fun, but had serious parts as well (mostly the pats he was in).  He was excellent in that movie.

'From the Hip' was the name of the movie.

[ashbury]

Who had Barbara Hale?

RIP, sir. Went to high school with his son.

Had an interaction with him on campus as a Gopher in his last season covering the team. RIP indeed. Absolutely a legendary voice, and well-respected nationally.
