I would support the Constitutional Amendment to make this possible. :)

Or maybe Arnold could just borrower Obama's fake birth certificate.

The Berkley protests feel like only the beginning.  I disagree strongly with the protesters both for their actions and for their intent (silencing speech), but threatening them with cutting off funding is even more ridiculous.

His supporters are falling all over themselves to congratulate him for his "support for the military."  While ignoring, of course, his actual actions.

Speaking only for myself, this is one veteran who despises the fact he's the CiC.  He disgusts me.

Van, you're really starting to make me question my affinity for Calvin and Hobbes.

And Calvin had better hair.

Haha someone has had enough time to photoshop Trump on several Calvin and Hobbes' comic strips... some make me laugh, some make me sad that they ruined a national treasure (Calvin and Hobbes, not Trump)

It sounds more complicated than just that quote......

Here you go...

If you don't like that source just search for 'Yemen' and you'll find many others.

Not a reputable publication, but this report suggest Gorsuch founded a club called Facism Forever at his all boys Jesuit prep school to combat liberal professors.  Maybe there's more (and better) evidence of his being a right wing ideologue that can help fuel efforts to stymie his nomination.

Meh. Kids are morons. I was an idiot at that age. You were probably an idiot at that age. He was definitely an idiot at that  age.

Even if reputable, that is some weak sauce.

He strikes me as a typical conservative justice. No reason to oppose on merits. Tons of reasons to oppose on process and politics.

Those damn liberal Jesuits. Pretty sure those bleeding hearts started out trying to convert Muslims.

Let's see here..."cat evangelist," chamber of farts...hmmm...

Yep. Still an idiot. This guy's done his homework. Kindly disregard my previous statement.

I agree it's weak (and conceded as much), but I think there's some false equivalency where we accept conservatives being into fascism when they're young, but if this were a liberal justice and s/he had been into marxism...we'll there'd be a double standard.

There is reason to oppose on the merits; he's very far right, not at all representative of the recent election or the mainstream.  Sure he's something of Scalia clone, but Scalia was an idealogue.

I have no problem with judges who are honest idealogues.

I'm torn on this. On one hand the seat was clearly taken through questionable tactics. On the other, the Dems keep bringing knives to gunfights. They get what they deserve.

I agree Dems leave much to be desired in terms of tactics, but what would you have (or had) them do?

Dems are outnumbered in the house and the senate.  All they have are knifes.   Even when they do something like, say, not show up for a vote and that's supposed to mean no vote takes place, the Republicans just change the rules and vote anyway.

And Republicans don't have guns, they have cannons and missiles.  Soon they'll also have nooses over trees as people's religious beliefs allows them to hang minorities.

From the you can't make this stuff up file:  Howard Stern worrying about Trump's mental health.

"I personally wish that he had never run, I told him that, because I actually think this is something that is gonna be detrimental to his mental health too, because, he wants to be liked, he wants to be loved," Stern said. "He wants people to cheer for him."

'South Park' creators explain why it's too hard to make fun of Trump: 'Satire has become reality'

'The creators of "South Park" say they're backing off of satirizing the Donald Trump administration because they can't compete with real events.

"It's really hard to make fun of and in the last season of 'South Park,' which just ended a month and a half ago, we were really trying to make fun of what was going on, but we couldn't keep up. And what was actually happening was much funnier than anything we could come up with. So we decided to kind of back off and let them do their comedy and we'll do ours."'
