What I can't believe, is how cowardly members of the GOP are to denounce him. Nothing surprises me coming from Trump anymore. I really hope he is the last of his kind to be elected, but he has too much support for me to believe that to be true. History will not be kind to him.

Agreed. The GOP lacks a spine. Hope that kills them in the long run. Probably doesn't.

I think the GOP has just accepted that this is their 2020 game plan.  A handful of Republicans have denounced his tweets, but people like Lindsay Graham have doubled-down.

A handful... but not nearly enough. Are any even in leadership? It is pretty telling when the voices backing him up are louder than the ones denouncing the comments.

DOJ sent letter to Mueller requiring him to only disclose information that was in the (extremely doctored) public report. I'm interested to see if Mueller plays ball with Trump, or gives them the finger. I doubt he'll drop any bomb shells, but it will be interesting to hear what he has to say.

Mueller has indicated that he will restrict his testimony to only what is in the report; so the DOJ's letter is consistent with that.

 

He might be willing to go beyond the DOJ redactions, however, as I believe the report was always written for public consumption.

I cannot wait to see him on the stand.
