Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Recently, the Twins posted a video for Season-Ticket holders. It is Dave St. Peter, Paul Molitor and Brian Dozier. Obviously they're trying to convince season-ticket holders to re-up their tickets. It could be a rough year, but they have to try. I won't add much more. Curious what others will take from this, but I don' really disagree with much. There are a few veterans, and then it's going to be all about the performance of the youth. clutterheart Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Interesting they are using Dozier as the face of the Twins.
jimmer Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Interesting they are using Dozier as the face of the Twins. Because of the HR thing, perhaps? Because he's outgoing. He's Cuddy's replacement, basically.
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted September 13, 2016 Author Posted September 13, 2016 Interesting they are using Dozier as the face of the Twins. He has been for awhile, probably a couple of years.
jctwins Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I didn't look at how much time was spent on the "ballpark experience" part of the video, but it's easy to disagree with that being any part of a factor in renewing season tickets any more.
Halsey Hall Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Well, they have to try. I can't imagine anything that would work, but that's probably as good as it can get.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Curious what others will take Polanco on the trading block. Either him or Escobar, but the latter won't return much. The video editor should be fired. Either him, or the person who wouldn't pay for an extra camera angle for the editor to work with.
wsnydes Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Personally, I'm waiting till the bitter end to renew/not renew. I want to see what they do with the front office before I finalize any decision. This video doesn't really influence me a bit. What they do immediately after the season with the FO and field staff will be a far larger influence. If they show an indication for true change in the FO, that'll go a long way to getting my renewal.
Old Twins Cap Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Can someone explain to Dave St. Peter that they are "playing for a World Championship" now, this season? And that to put that off into the future sometime is at least half their problem?

In my opinion, that's almost becoming a detriment. If they keep adding bars and raising concession prices, it just keeps eroding the experience in my opinion. I'm not going to games to get smashed, I want to watch the game. I think the selection of food and beverages is great, but I think you can have too much of a good thing at times.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 Maybe I need to be wearing a tinfoil hat. But, I'm a little worried that using Dozier as the face regarding NEXT season's tickets, could Pohlad add, "you can't trade Dozier" along with the Molitor ultimatum to the next GM?
clutterheart Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 He has been for awhile, probably a couple of years.Meaning it's not as likely Dozier is even on the trading block this winter
theBOMisthebomb Verified Member Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 A for effort. They didn't oversell it and had a good mix of optimism and reality.
notoriousgod71 Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I'd have rather seen a video featuring Grossman, Schaefer, Dean, and Albers.
mazeville Verified Member Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Brian Dozier is a good dude. Nice video. But it won't matter diddly if the team keeps losing and refuses to invest in the product.
