Duffy is a future ace right?

I envision him as part of the second of the 5 Aces. Who was it before? Blacky, Perk, Franky, Slowey and Bakes have made room for Duff, "Terrific" Tommy, Erv, Richard and Gibby.

 

Since Berrios' ceiling is 1B, he needs to show more consistency through his age 25 season. As for the slugs at AA. Well, let's just say they're lucky they're at AA ... there's no penetrating a rotation that solid.

Did you hear Gladden in the post game last night talking about Mauer's approach at the plate in his last at bat? Apparently Mauer started the at bat threatening a bunt and then took several pitches. Gladden said, ya know it's a 2 run ball game and you got 30 rbi's almost 100 games in to the season...how about a less passive approach at the plate.

I think Gladden is so-so as an analyst and the worst doing play-by-play, but that comment was worth a year extension on his contract.

(2) Duffy to bullpen, May to AAA to "stretch out", Berrios up, or

 

(3) Duffy down, May to AAA to "stretch out", Berrios and Wheeler up? 

 

I like 1 and 2, but find 3 strangely intriguing....
