Yeah, I'm so young I was born tomorrow.

If you land a GM job before the deadline,   would you like to trade for a practically like new third baseman who was only driven home on Sundays?

This new software's going to streamline your entire day! Now before we "go live", let's "circle back" and "pinpoint" how you can "ping" your clients in one easy "process"

Egads, that's a line Steve Carrell would have said in "The Office."

Is Park just like Chris Carter, except on a longer, more expensive contract?

Pretty much, yeah.  Not the first time I've heard/read the comparison.

The second paragraph of this website, under the heading, "How do Japanese names work?", says "In Japanese, the surname comes before given name."

Interestingly, because this discussion caused me to look it up, Ichiro's name in Japanese characters is Suzuki Ichiro. The story is that his manager when he was 20 used his given name as a marketing gimmick and Ichiro had to go along with it.

According to Wikipedia Ichiro's father's name is Nobuyuki Suzuki (鈴木宣之) which would lead me to believe both are Americanized, and Ichiro would be his given and Suzuki would be his Surname. I would still put Suzuki on his Jersey but by tradition, I would imagine Suzuki would also be what one would call him. So Suzuki Ichiro would be the grammatically correct way to write it. However, the guy seems to want to be called Ichiro. Who am I to judge? Edited by Sconnie

So I see Saturday is Dozier jersey giveaway. I wonder how many of those 10,000 will end up at the Goodwill?

Mine's going to be the other half of a nice double play combo with the Nishi shirsey in one of my basement storage bins that won't get opened again until an estate sale some day.

Is it just me, or does Robbie's arm look a little light.

I mentioned that after watching runners take liberties with him in Oakland. I could not definitely say that his arm is lacking, but indeed the runners were reaching second by a hair, when normally they would have been content with a single to left. Clearly the book on him is to challenge him.

Throw in a Doug Bernier breezer for a combo pack?

This is correct about Wikipedia, but if you look at the Japanese spelling of his and his father's names, you'll see that Suzuki comes first in Japanese.

Related: if Barry Bonds had wanted "Barry" on his jersey, people would have gone ape crazy. Some people would have flipped out if Mauer put "Joe" on his back.

Jeepers, Pressly--  nice slider there.  He and Rogers, and even Gulfa have looked good tonight.

(Can somebody pass this note to Molly in the dugout---)  No Jepsen tonight, please.  Unless this game goes 17 bloody innings or something.

I think so. Who'd a thunk it on April 1st?

I keep waiting for him to turn back into a Pumpkin. Guys his age just don't change this drastically long term.
